Surprisingly good food, dismiss the outside decor and location

Neighbor recommended this restaurant, a good half an hour from the neighborhood. Went with my husband AND with a restaurant.com gift certificate. It was our first trip to this restaurant. Restaurant was NOT crowded on a Friday night, although I did make a reservation not knowing what to expect. Service was exceptional. Prices were too high for where the restaurant... More

I've been to this restaurant many times since it is in my neighborhood. The service is always very good. The wait staff is professional and courteous, always helpful. The food is average at best and very expensive. The menu is limited and very pricey. I've noticed that the crowds have been dwindling here over the last few years. The last... More

My husband&I have been here several times previous-but not in a couple years. Went here for Valentine's Day Dinner&intially service was good. Ordered Fried Calamari as an appetizer-which came out so early, we thought it was meant for another table. After that, it went downhill. Had to ask other wait staff for drinks&inquire where our meals were. After several employees... More

whenever you enter a restaurant and all the staff is dressed completely in black, you know you're going to be overcharged. Went to dinner with another couple, so there were four of us. One glass of wine, three glasses of seltzer and each of us ordered a dinner. No appetizers, no salad, no dessert. The bill came to $100 plus... More

This is quite simply one of the best Italian restaurants in Central New Jersey. And most people don't know about it. We've been eating here almost weekly since we discovered it. The menu is interesting, varied, savory, and the specials are consistently worth exploring. The wine is good and not absurdly over-priced. The staff, particularly the waitress named Anna, is... My husband and I were here several times for dinner and loved it each time. We then decided to have our son's baptism here and so glad we made the choice. The staff was amazing and attentive throughout the entire party. We had such a great experience we decided to have the baby's first birthday here and again we were... More

Being in the area I googled Italian restaurants and decided to eat here based on location and reviews. Big mistake. The atmosphere was OK but it was loud and cold inside. The service was also good. The problem was the food. The calamari appetizer looked good when it arrived but it was lukewarm and not very tasty. My veal parm... More

I live very close to this restaurant so I figure I'd review it for those of you traveling. If you're in the Woodbridge area this place is a sure bet for moderately upscale dining. Its not quite 'fine dining' but its certainly a step above the chain restaurants and family diners. It gets very busy fast so make a reservation.... More

Loved the decor (lighting, atmosphere, music) of this place. Its a quaint hole-in-the-wall spot. Alexis was our waitress and was great. The Chicken Penne Pasta was fabulous. The free bread was nice too. The price was also reasonable: Three meals: $53 not including tip. I plan to be back!!
