Description: The Ravioli House is the oldest Italian Restaurant in the City of...
The Ravioli House is the oldest Italian Restaurant in the City of Wildwood, NJ. In the past 43 years not much has changed at Bennett and New Jersey Avenues in Wildwood. The Ravioli House and Pastry Shop is an Italian family restaurant with a complete take-out service. It is still owned and operated by the DeSanctis family. Antonio and Teresa came to Philadelphia from Italy to live with relatives. Every summer their families would travel to Wildwood to stay with Antonio’s aunt, who owned a building where she made homemade pasta. Teresa loved the idea of owning a restaurant, and in 1970 the Ravioli House opened its doors for the first time. The Ravioli House provides a warm and inviting ambiance with beautiful murals of towns and villages in Italy. Customers enjoy authentic Italian cuisine to the soundtrack of soft Italian music. At the Ravioli House, everything is homemade. It is just like eating in your grandmother’s kitchen. Choose from spaghetti, linguini, fettuccini, angel hair, rigatoni, gnocchi, potato gnocchi, and cavatelli. Then select one of 10 sauces to enjoy a pasta feast just the way you like it. Pasta selections don’t stop here. Try the stuffed shells, manicotti, baked ziti, and ravioli, or try “The Trip Around Italy” for a true taste sensation.

Definitely very good but not great homemade Italian

They do seat you right away, although the place was packed and deservedly so overall for delicious homemade pastas, tomato sauce, and meatballs. Sausage is so so and the gnocchi tasted like it was frozen initially and then undercooked--the center of each piece was undone. The ravioli... read more

I've been to The Ravioli House in Wildwood before and it's always been excellent. So here is my take on this incredible Italian Restaurant. First and foremost...this place is not that big. It's popular and busy in the summer months, just like the rest of Wildwood. If you read this and then have to wait to get in, then don't... More

We have many fond memories of family dinners at The Ravioli House. Our most recent visit did not disappoint. My potato gnocchi were light and heavenly. Our granddaughter had lobster ravioli that she raved about. Chicken Parmesan and ravioli for our other granddaughter and spaghetti and sausage for my husband. We ended the meal with a variety of desserts, all... More

This is our 4th annual visit on our vacation. Always enjoyed what we ordered & service has always been excellent. Another time which was fabulous & they have always accommodated our large group of 14. Alfredo is always good including Antipasta appetizer.

My family and I visited the bakery/store portion of Ravioli House on this particular visit to bring home some frozen ravioli (lobster, spinach, meat, cheese). We commented how beautiful the renovations were that were made to the store, and the owner called to a woman in the kitchen. The most friendly petite Italian woman came out and thanked us for... The service is excellent. The atmosphere kind of like a family restaurant , Perkins, Friendly's chain style. Had the ravioli trio which was very good but salad is extra. Dessert fair had the cannoli cake and cannoli. It was good but had better. It was good but like Little Italy better.

What a nice concept. Fresh ravioli! Growing up in Brooklyn fresh ravioli was a Sunday and holiday treat and so I thought why not? Well I am really sad to write this review because it was not special at all and I am afraid that my wonderful memories saw a darker side. This restaurant might have been the IN place... More

My chicken parm was adequate but my friends didn't like the meatballs, the lasagna, or the bolonaise. Two of my friends also felt sick after eating here, one from chicken fingers and the other from the meatballs.
