Description: Award Winning Yankee BBQ Restaurant, Catering Experts, Family Friendly, Fun Staff, Full Bar, Craft Beers, Great Margaritas, Live Music, Smoked Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Famous Sweet & Spicy Wings. Hot Rods BBQ is a celebration of the open road, classic custom cars, All-American comfort food and fun all rolled into one. Today, it seems like every part of the country claims to have its own special twist on BBQ, but owners Anthony and Toby Sibona have combined the best of BBQ from around the country to create dishes that are truly a taste of America. And because the Sibonas are from Jersey, they call their BBQ "Yankee BBQ," a name that has come to mean the best of the best. Hot Rods is famous for delicious slow smoked pulled pork and BBQ babyback ribs. Both are prepared and smoked to Hot Rods' strict specifications, using only top-quality meats. The result is the most tender, tasty BBQ pulled pork and ribs you'll ever eat. A combination of flavorful rubs, homemade sauces, and an open flame creates the perfect BBQ - tender, meaty and exploding with great smokey taste! In 2012 USA Today raved about Hot Rods' Signature Wings. Forbes Magazine listed Hot Rods as one of it's TOP TEN MEALS of 2012 and again as one of it's 10 GREAT BBQ JOINTS in the USA in 2013, stating "Hot Rods is simply awesome!" NJ Monthly Magazine awarded Hot Rods "Best BBQ" in 2010. Morris Health and Life Magazine has named them "Best Ribs" from 2008 - 2013. In 2002, the Star Ledger gave them "Top Dog in BBQ." From 2005 - 2013 Hot Rods BBQ has won the Daily Record Readers Choice Award for "Best BBQ" and Runner Up for "Best Outside Catering". Hot Rods BBQ has come in third in AOL City Guide's "Top Ten Picks for Best BBQ" from 2005 - 2009. With that said, sit back and enjoy a tasty trip. The road to the country's best BBQ and the friendliest service starts at Hot Rods BBQ.

Let start with the decor it's nice and clean that's it. The service is average. The food the ribs are dry and overdone, same with the brisket, and the pulled pork good. Its almost like the BBQ was done once a week and then reheated.I walked away somewhat let done each time I've been there thinking maybe I hit it... More

Have been eating here for several years, the BBQ is real here and consistantly good. The staff is great and very knowledgeable about pairing craft beers to your meal. A great restaurant in a little town.

Having been thoroughly disgusted with my experience at Pig Mans in the OBX a little bit ago, I was looking for something to restore my faith in smoked ribs, Hot Rod's did it.... nice slow smoked ribs, not the boiled junk the other hack served. The dry rub has a little kick to, just a little, and nicely done. Amazing... More

Excellent, can't wait to return and try something else. Burnt ends wrapped in bacon, yum. Good beer selections.

As with every time we go to Hot Rods - the experience begins with the aromas as you open the front door (should be made into an airfreshener!) An excellent craft beer list - server really knows his beers and could answer all my questions - and as always ordering his suggestion never disappoints. Corn bread and honey butter is... More

Really great barbecue (and I mean everything on the menu), reasonably priced, friendly and helpful wait staff, terrific margaritas! The corn bread is excellent! This place is just what you want a barbecue joint to be!

Brought our family who were visiting from California for the baby-back ribs and everyone loved them. Grandkids cleaned their plates and we had to have more of the fabulous cornbread. We will definitely make this our favorite barbeque place.

Hadn't been here in years. Went in for ribs, and they were amazingly meaty, smokey, and juicy, but not greasy. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. I was so happy she pointed out the clams on the special, almost missed out. The craft beer selection is good. Excited to go back and try more than just ribs!

Hot Rod's, located on Main Street in Wharton is a small barbecue place. The theme is, as you can guess, Hot Rods. They have a liquor license with several types of beer, in addition to wine and other drinks. The corn bread here is the best I've ever eaten. The barbecue here is excellent whether in a sandwich or as... More

We have been to Hot Rods a few times now. We are more than satisfied every time we go. The smell even before we walk through the front door is fantastic. The warm welcome and service is appreciated every time. We have tried numerous items from the menu and nothing disappoints. When we leave we are already talking about when... More
