We ate at Hot Rods again last night. Great food, generous portions. Hard to decide on Sundays whether to order off the main menu or take advantage of their $0.50 wings and $1.00 drafts! You can't go wrong whichever you choose. The restaurant is somewhat small and a bit noisy at times, so if you are looking for a quiet,... More

Great food worth the wait. Lay back restaurant with great food. The pulled pork is outstanding. The service was a little slow but the food made up for it. While speaking to our server he said the restaurant will be relocating soon to a much larger facility about 1/2 mile closer to route 80 and 15.

We were delighted with our recent meal at Hot Rod's, since our recent efforts to find good BBQ at other local restaurants in northern NJ have not measured up. Not so at Hot Rod's. This is an all around great BBQ place, from the excellent wings appetizer to our pulled pork and brisket entrees. The hearty baked beans side dish,... More

Not suitable for an event so small and nosy. Rickety seating. Food is good if you can bear the atmosphere. Very pricey especially for lunch.

Hot Rod's is a favorite for our family. We are regulars who keep coming back for the ribs and brisket. We love the rub and never add any sauce. The rub is so flavorful with the right mix of sweet and heat. We have introduced several folks to the place and everyone has gone back. Service is leisurely so be... More

If you are in the mood for BBQ and a drink this is the place to go. There is no better BBQ place, Kansa City style. Love the sauce, not sweet, reminiscent of Arthur Bryant's. You can also place order, have a beer while waiting and and take out to the family.

Having just eaten, and I use the term loosely, at a local BBQ place, and been seriously disappointed, I reminisce about our frequent trips to Hot Rods. Not close, not convenient, but worth the trip. Excellent , eclectic, comfort food menu. Friendly, attentive service; great bar and tasty food. Best BBQ this side of Memphis. Go there. You'll enjoy it.

My husband & I tried Hot Rods for lunch one day when we were jonesing for BBQ. We were not disappointed. Brisket sliders and hush puppies were great. We were telling some friends about it and they complained that we hadn't brought them with us. So we got a group of 13 people together and went back for dinner on... More

We just made our fifth visit to Hot Rod's BBQ in Wharton, NJ. I felt it was time to write a review. We discovered Hot Rod's earlier this summer and it has become a family and friend favorite. We live about 45 minutes away otherwise we would go every week. The food is AWESOME as is the staff. We have... More
