I genuinely do not understand the negative reviews of this restaurant. We have been going here for years and it has always been wonderful. It's an old very beautiful place but it's not dusty with cobwebs by any stretch of the imagination in my opinion. This place has been here forever. It's in the middle of nowhere, and if you... More

Great steaks and a large array of good food. We enjoyed the crusty, delicious bread. The restaurant is rustic and warm. The atmosphere is conductive to relaxing with friends. We watched bears walk around behind the building. It was just charming.

Never again!!! Very hard to find and roads not marked clearly. The Inn is very old and not well kept, lots of dust and cob webs. Our waitress was very nice but very disorganized, My wife ordered the

My husband and I called in on the Walpack Inn yesterday after trying to find it three times...the sign is very overgrown with vegetation. We were starving as it was 3:30 and we'd skipped lunch. When I finally found the hostess (she sits at a table in the dining room instead of being located by the door?!) she advised me... More

Came here on a recommendation and was worth it! Scenic drive in fall. Waiting area is very rustic and homey, piano player, nice bar. Window seating is a must if you desire to see the deer feed. We saw a deer fight too. It was nice watching them as the sun set. The back room is full if antler chandeliers... More

While up in the Poconos last weekend, we got a tip on a restaurant off the beaten path. So far off the beaten path, it in another state! Given the rave reviews, we went for dinner Friday evening. The Walpack Inn is in New Jersey, tucked away in what appears to be a National Park Service forest (it was dark... More

I realized when I walked in here last Saturday night that I have been coming to this place for 50 years. It has only improved with time. Back in 1964 it was a fisherman's bar and lunch place with a few tables in a side room where they served a Saturday Night Roast beef Dinner and a Sunday Afternoon Ham... More

Been here twice. Love coming here with family. Worth the drive down the winding valley. We came twice on Friday night when it is prime rib night. Fabulous salad bar. And don't forget their famous bread that they serve sliced. Two sizes of prime rib. Choice of wild rice, garlic mashed potato, baked potato, all great. But what fabulous choices... More

The ride alone is worth a trip to the Walpack Inn. The rustic feel of the lodge feels unique and authentic. You can sip a cocktail in the large bar area while you await a table, preferably by a window, you don't want to miss the gorgeous view of the mountain valley. The staff was pleasant and forthcoming in every... More

Coming to the "Walpack Inn" has become a family tradition since my daughter was smaill. We always sit by the window to watch the deer. This last time, a family of wild turkey came to feed on the corn just outside the dining room windows. The food at the Walpack Inn is always very good and they have one of... More
