Quite The Place, Hidden Away

The Walpack Inn is a Hidden Jewell in Warren County in western New Jersey. I never would have found it, if it were not for a friend who lives nearby, about 18 minutes away. The place has great ambience, a very good bartender and excellent servers. The menu offerings are definitely what you would... read more

We vacation in Dingmans Ferry every summer and the highlight for me is a meal at the Walpack Inn. It's a step back in Time as you enter this old log Inn. They added a long glass windowed dining room to the back many years ago which over looks a huge meadow with mountains in the distance. The diners overlook... More

Visited The Wallpack Inn on a Saturday. We arrived a little after 5pm, which is early, but this restaurant fills up quickly. Only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Two orders of T-bone steak which were done medium & done perfectly & one order of baby back ribs which was just ok. The meal comes with a choice of potato &... More

One of the most beautiful settings, deep in the Delaware Water Gap. Homey: "we feed the deer and people too.” The most breathtaking back lawn of any restaurant in New Jersey. Food was ok, service was great. But the scenery ... oh, my.

This is located in some of the most beautiful land near the Delaware Water Gap. The restaurant food is first rate. Complete salad bar comes with the dinner and the steak and the fish (we had both) are cooked to perfection. Large dining rooms. Limited time open (Friday night and weekends), but well worth the drive.

I was floored when I walked in this restaurant, beautiful decor. Lots of plants and wood carved furniture. Was a bit disappointed in the food, given the prices are so high. Got a at one, and the filet portion was non-existent. Waitress was kind enough to offer to fire a new steak, but I declined. Dessert less than what I... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant after spending the day hiking the Delaware Water Gap. The outside looked nice. The ambience is weird. You first walk into a door and find the bathrooms with no signs to where the restaurant is. You go through another door and again, just an open area with people standing around. You then walk down the... More

Great place can't wait to go back. We were here last year and it was very good. Going back this Friday. Worth the ride and it is located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Great food and very good service.

This is always a fun surprise for those who have not been there before. It is a rustic looking restaurant set in the forest. When you are inside you find a wall of glass in the dining rooms and a delightful view of a mountain ridge and deer and birds. The menu includes a variety of seafood items and prime... More

I have been going to the Walpack Inn for 25 yrs plus. I love the atmosphere, the service . We had dinner there Saturday night, we arrived about 10 after 5:00 all the window seats already taken. We ordered the Prime rib and got cold meager servings, very over cooked. Even the bread was not as good a normal. It... More
