The grand, rustic interior, huntsman club style decor, and display of antique and handmade furniture is sure to impress. If you're fortunate to grab table next to large glass windows you'll be delighted by the live show of deer grazing and the backdrop of rolling fields and mountains. We visited the Walpack Inn on a Friday night - Prime Rib... More

Great rustic place, off the beaten path. We spent the day at Swartswood Lake swimming/kayaking so the drive was only another 25 minutes. I had the Swordfish was melt in your mouth excellent with perfectly cooked fresh spinach. Wife had the steak crabcake which was very good. My 6 year old had the Penne pasta with marinara and devoured it!.... More

Yes. Free corn . . . for the deer. This restaurant is a wonderful experience. It sits in a bucolic, rural area a few miles from bustling Layton. NJ. A window table affords you a view of a beautiful valley and the mountain beyond. The corn is spread for the deer to eat for your view of the wildlife from... More

Right from the second you walk into this expansive rustic-looking building you can't help but be impressed. Walk through the front foyer area then step down to the bar and hearth room with tons of interesting decor surounding you. A wonderful maitre dei greats you with a pleasant smile and seats you in the dining area which runs along a... More

Chose this restaurant for Valentines Day dinner because it has been a long time since we were here last (10 years) and we really liked it that time. I made reservations for 8pm and upon arriving a little early, we sat to wait. On time they called for the 8pm seating and were taken to the window table as requested.... More

This is wonderful treat hidden in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The building is a rustic old building with exposed hand hewn beams and rustic furnishing. It features a huge field stone fireplace that adds a wonderful warmth and ambience to the bar area. The grand piano offers a great place to listen to some great music while... More

We had last Thanksgiving (2012) at the Walpack Inn and couldn't stop raving about it! The butternut squash soup was a real hit with everyone! We went again this year 2013 and were totally disappointed! The soups were taken away, the buffet style was also taken away and replaced with a one plate serving! My biggest complaint was that no... Disappointed. Sword fish was mealy and overly fishy tasting. Osso Buco was tasty, but was served luke warm. $80 including tip for the two entrees, two glasses of house wine, and a uninspired salad bar. Will not return.

The Walpack Inn is more of an experience than a restaurant. The Inn is situated on a large plot of land with open scenic views and surrounding hiking trails. The Inn caters to large numbers of patrons and many people come with friends and family for the day. The floor to ceiling windows allow guests to enjoy the breathtaking views... More

I have been coming to the Walpack Inn for the past 18 years, its best to make this an all afternoon event. The drive is long but the views are worth it. Dont excpect cell sevice in most locations. The menu is diversed and most entries will cost $30.00. The portions are modest and there is a nice salad bar... More
