I liked it but it was a typical sushi place. Good and I would go again but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered the avocado sushi roll and the miso soup. My friend got some sort of teriyaki thing. Their hibachi is pretty solid though!

I've been going to this restaurant since its opening- approximately once a month. Recently- they have taken to seating my five year old (and us) to the very side (and end) of an otherwise empty table. This time- when we went- and the hostess once again seated us as far away from the griddle as was possible- I complained. The... More

...I'm not going to say anything negative about the food. The food here is decent and quite honestly, the place is fun! However, my latest experience here left me feeling upset knowing that I probably won't go back. Myself and a bunch of my friends went here to celebrate a birthday. We made reservations, yet after we checked in, we... More

Excellent food...never had a bad dish. Ever. The ambiance is romantic but you can also hang with your friends and chat. I never felt rushed and the selections are awesome. Great place and decent prices. It's also a BYOB

As far as hibachi goes, food is average. Nothing bad about food. Nothing better than anywhere else. Ok let's go in. First, we had a reservation and were told when we arrived with our party of 10 that we could sit and buy apps until a hibachi table opened up as they did not save space for us. Our reservation... I frequent Akira for hibachi dinners and sushi. The food is always excellent and the service is good most of the time. If you are eating there when it is very busy, you may have to wait for a drink order or check. I would highly recommend Akira!

I had a birthday dinner with my family in Feb, 2014. The service was very good and the hibachi show was very entertaining. It was a nice experience to watch the stir rice and hibachi combos get cooked and made me drool. The place does not serve liquor but you can bring your own liqour. They also have sushi discounts... While visiting family back home in cherry hill / voorhees area this is my go to sushi place. Most of the special rolls are EXCELLENT. I cannot remember any of the ones I get, but seriously any time I go and taste various rolls they're all great. Outside of sushi haven't ventured much on their menu. They have a great... More

Great Sushi and it's BYOB. Go right next store to the roger wilco and you're set for a nice evening. Pretty much all special rolls are great.

Recently went to Hibachi of Voorhees for my birthday. Haven't been here since the days when it was Yamato. Gotta say that the decor is great! Classy improvement and feel of the place. Our chef was entertaining and had good aim with the broccoli and saki. We all had positive comments during and after eating. We ordered different entrees. All... More
