How we happened upon Mel's was sheer luck. We found this gem in the Villas about 6 years ago and always make it a point to go there for breakfast at least once during vacation. The breakfast there is excellent, the service as well. Yum.

What an amazing breakfast we had at Mel's, it was just perfect. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and even joked with us. The food was delicious and fresh! The bear at the counter was clever and a fun topic of discussion, he made it to my Facebook wall. I'll be going back again.

We enjoy Mel's mostly because we are not early risers. Breakfast is served until, I think, 2 or 3 PM. The staff is always super happy and attentive. Good varieties and fair menu prices. Frequent coffee refills without asking. Eggs Benedict is a favorite. Parking is not a problem. There is some outdoor seating with shade. When there's been a... More

We visited Mel's for breakfast over Memorial Day weekend. There is indoor and outdoor dining - which is nice early on in the day before things heat up. Inside, the restaurant is nicely decorated and features wood molding and lots of movie stills, posters and pictures from the early 1960's through the 1970's. It makes for a very pleasant dining... I've eaten here several times, and this past week I went with my husband and another couple. The food was great... the waitress was very friendly and talked with us. The french toast & pancakes are really good. We went back a few days later but they weren't open. :( We will return!

Decided to try Mel's after reading good reviews. We were not disappointed. Went for breakfast during the week and had no wait. Standard breakfast menu with good prices. Plenty of parking and the place was very clean. We will certainly go back to Mel's. You should too.

We love Mel's for their comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. This is a small diner, Mel mans the front desk and cash register, and during the week you'll find Sandra as the only waitress and then the busboy. They work so well together and hold down the fort even on busy days with a smile on their faces.... More

I liked the atmosphere at Mel's. The food was very good and the service was great. Had the French toast and scrapple and it was cooked just as I requested. It was very hot outside so we ate inside, however, there were a few tables set outside that looked like it would be nice to eat at had it been... More

E seI have been going to this place for over 30 years! Yes owners have changed, but the breakfast has not! Everything is cooked fresh and the pan cakes are the best I have ever had. For about $9 I get a great american bf, 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, 3 bacon, 2 sasuage, coffee and juice, I add on some... More
