Had a bucket of steamers to start, were very good. Split a fried shrimp and a fried scallop. Both are recommended.

I had a craving for clams and traveled 50 miles to get to Allen's. Always great. Plump juicy clams. Can't beat them. Small place that would be great for families.

Nice local place for the residents to go and have a great meal. Everyone is in jeans and shorts. Just a good hang out for a seafood meal. The New England Clam Chowder was thick and very good. The fried clams were delicious but there were only 9 on my plate. The clam strips my wife had were much better.... More

A co-worker told me about this place. She warned me that it doesn't look good from the outside (or inside for that matter) but the food is WONDERFUL! If you want FRESH seafood, in a VERY casual setting, go to Alan's Clam Bar on Rt 9. I know I'm going back! SOON!!!

Having heard so much about this place I had to try it. I must admit the food is very good. However for the price of it, I expected it to be served on some sort of glass plate and not a cardboard one! I know about being "green" and eco-friendly but I think the paper plates belong at a less... More

Simple seafood menu....Seafood is either fried or broiled. Delicious! because it's like home-made fried food. Little Necks, the calamari and the deep-fried lobster tails are outstanding! Very cute place with a liquor store across the street for your BYOB. Nice stop on the way to AC or the southern Jersey Shore beaches.

My family has been coming here for years, even back when it was just a "clam house". Food is consistently prepared. Small platters are great for small eaters, although I wish they would add broiled flounder to the small plates. Family run establishment. Get there early in the summer or you'll be waiting in line outside.

We were in the area visiting friends, and they brought to Allens for a seafood dinner. I have to say we were not impressed. The food was okay, service okay, atmosphere poor, and the prices are not cheap (especially for the small portions). Not a fan, sorry.
