Looking forward to this place for weeks. It is located adjacent to the Passaic River on the Western side of Mc Bride Avenue. It must be nice to sit outside in the Summertime. The small establishment is very clean with about 9 tables and a very friendly hostess who will generously help you with the menu. I don't understand why... More

So this is in my "neck of the woods". I love the food. This is truly one of those places where the "nationals of the cuisine" come to eat! I have had the Falafel, The Baba ghanoush, The Kebabs and the Hommus - ohh the hommus. I know that is not how you spell it - but the King spells... More

When I visit an office I supervise in Totowa, they always order from here. We usually order take out and get a little bit of everything. And everything is tastes great! From the grape leaves, to the hommus and Baba ghanoush, and the kabobs. Definately a gem.

I was searching for something different for a casual lunch and found King of Shish Kabob in Woodland Park (totowa?). The food was excellent! I loved the baba ganoosh (spelling?) and the pita breads were so fresh. Of course I had to finish off with dessert and had a honey drenched baklava which was fantastic. The food is very reasonably... King of Shish is located in a small building alongside the Passaic river. It has minimal atmosphere and diner tables and chairs. But the food is authentic middle eastern. We love the kibbeh, tabouli, Muhammara are great dips and side dishes. Shish kebobs are perfectly prepared. A bit high priced for the simple atmosphere but the food is good

I want to say that I was looking for a restaurant as good as Demascus in Allentown, PA. Well, I found it. "King of Shish Kabob" is an excellent restaurant. The service, decor and food was excellent. I say that the decor was excellent because I love "holes in the wall", especially clean ones.

King of Shish Kabob is one of those local "hole in the wall" places that become a reliable stop for eating out. The food is Syrian and is quite inexpensive. This is not gourmet dining by any means, but it is hearty "home style" cooking with an exotic twist. If you like Middle Eastern food and do not need a... More

We've been coming here since it opened almost 2 decades ago. For a very affordable price, my family can order an assortment of dishes and enjoy it all family style. While lacking any ambiance, they prepare fresh food with friendly, if a little slow, service.

Been coming here for a while and the service is a bit slow as its only one lady who seems to be forgetful at times getting things to you. But the prices are good and the food is usually spot on. Couple times the meat was too dry and not flavored enough but in most cases its pretty good. Definitely... More

We have come here only a few times, but in joyed it each time. the humus is good as well as the eggplant and other dips we tried here. The amount of meat is small on the meat dishes but the prices are reasonable and all the food was fresh and professionally prepared. Service is adequate at best
