The Sushi at Kanji never disappoints. The Tuna Amazing and Sunshine rolls are terrific. Love that fact that it is BYO. On occasion, the service can be a little lacking and personally, we don't love how loud it can sometimes get when the Hibachi side of the restaurant is crowded - but all-in-all I would recommend Kanji.

Did take out from this restaurant after being told about its delicious sushi. It did not fall short. I have been to quite a few Japanese restaurant around my area and most of the are just meh Cannot rate restaurant service and atmosphere since it was just take out but we do plan to dine there in the near future.

The food and service were both excellent. My husband hadn't been to a hibachi style restaurant in years and I was looking forward to his experience at Kanji, as I have eaten there a number of times over the past few years with family and friends. Our only disappointment was that since we got there a little on the late... More

Tinton Falls isn't particularly known for cuisine. Trust me, you can still have a nice meal here even if it isn't a fancy meal. My husband and I eat at Kanji or do take out quite often. It is our "go to." Kanji has a large selection of food which to me is usually a red flag of too much... More

We were told that they "Don't do the lunch menu on Saturday's". I had 3 rolls (Cali., Boston, Dragon), my son had the adult-sized steak habachi, we both had one soda, total charge was $52 with tax but no tip. I don't mind spending money for food, but $50 bucks for lunch with my son in a strip mall is,... More

Very good and fresh food. Service was ok. We live in Eatontown and the location is very close for us. Sawa is a nicer restaurant but this place have a much better food.

We eat here often and have never been disappointed -- that is a rare achievement. The sushi here is really first rate, best Toro I have ever had, sashimi is to die for. Although a BYBO, there is a package store right next door. Attentive service and welcoming atmosphere round out a great culinary experience.

Went on a sunday at 3 pm the place was empty. Got 2 rolls that were both to be spicey but barely got a kick. Ordered sone salmon , tuna , & white tuna sushi which was very tasty. Will probably visit again. Teak in red bank has 5 star sushi

I went to this restaurant, and ordered Crazy Friday roll, along with appetizer, the main course came with the Appetizer, disappointment, but this was just the beginning. The roll had sesame and my daughter is very critically allergic to this seed, we had gone here earlier and they never had sesame in the crazy Friday roll, however we noticed it... More

I ate dinner here solo at the Sushi Bar on 7/17/13. Shopping center location, no bar but a liquor store next door. Basic menu with some specialty rolls, most have cooked (Tempura) ingredients. Being a purist I ordered the Sushi/ Sashimi combo as a true gauge of the quality of the fish here. Included were a Miso soup and small... More
