Pricey and Risky

This was my second trip to this restaurant this year. The first time experience, June, was much better than the second. For a Monday night the restaurant was packed and extremely loud. The waiter, Mike, was not as attentive as the first waiter we had in June. Water glasses were not filled. Wine... read more

My boyfriend and I have been coming to the island for many years and tried Yellow Fin for a change in venue. It was the most amazing dinner we have ever had. We started off with the fried calamari and the tuna pizza which were to die for. My boyfriend had the fillet mignon and I had the grilled salmon.... More

I was happy to be able to get reservations for dinner on birthday. A family vacation to Surf City and the best dinner I have had in a long time. The biggest lobster tail I have ever seen, cooked to perfection with a light buttery sauce, the filet melted in your mouth as did the lobster. Dessert was a cocoanut confection... More

We almost didn't go this year due to some poor reviews on portions and making reservations; my husband said, let's go anyway. So glad we did and then went a 2nd time on our 2015 vacation. In 2014, we thought the portions were actually too large and in 2015 we found them to be perfect and some again very large,... More

The food here is some of the finest prepared anywhere. The Tomato Stack with lobster is usually a daily special. The paella was fabulous. All of the beef and fish dishes were great. Reserve weeks in advance...especially during the weekends during the summer

I never have written and review, however, felt compelled to do so. We met another couple for dinner last Thursday. They picked this location and made reservations. Our friends were 15 minutes late. Reservation were at 7pm and they arrived 7:15. The hostess realized my friends wife made the reservation and then proceeded to lecture her that she needs to... More

Yellowfin proudly advertises that they are a New York City style restaurant. After dining in countless restaurants in NYC, it's with great confidence that I can say that this place wouldn't last more than a few months in the city but because of the seasonal, captive audience on LBI, they survive. The food is very good but the arrogance and... More

This byob restaurant is a difficult place to get a reservation for good reason. The food is really outstanding. Every dish is thoughtfully conceived and expertly executed. The menu is not extensive but it will not be hard to find something you really want. Local seafood, duck, veal and fillet mignon feature. The wait staff is excellent and sometimes eccentric... More

Another of my favorites, place is full of energy and the food is great. A BYOB. The Cod is unreal and i am not a fish eater. The Yellowfin has great seafood and it is all fresh, they also have a great steak here for the meat lovers like me. Parking on site and overflow across the street. I will... More

I have not been to this restaurant for many years, but I was treating my sister and brother-in-law to a special night. So happy they picked Yellowfin. Restaurant has a very classy look to it: muted colors and candles. Service is wonderful from the moment you sat down. We were there early so the restaurant was only half full. Fried... More
