Friends had highly recommended this restaurant - We ordered the West Coast oysters with a mignoette sauce. These were not fresh - tasted fishy instead of briny and sweet. The mignoette sauce was tasteless. These cost $34 for a dozen. Our entre's came I ordered the Tagliatelle pasta with lobster - almost couldn't find the lobster (which was chewy) the pasta... More

Have had dinner here twice in the past - past times occurred before the name change. Dinner was excellent both times - above expectations. This time was a different story. Here's the short form: Caesar salad was not great - lettuce was limp and the dressing was on pretty heavy, my tagliatelle with 1/2 lobster was mostly pasta and sauce... More

This French seaside bistro is long on flavor. Classic French dishes are lovingly prepared for the clientele and the results are wonderful. We were brought here by friends who have a summer house nearby, and we were happy they introduced us to this place. The cheese platter was outstanding, with a good variety of cheeses, dried fruits, nuts and honey... More

Went there last night with my loved one we had the charcuterie plate, she had the seared scallops and I had the "home made" tagliatelle with 1/2 lobster. The charcuterie plate was pretty good and a decent value at $15 and my loved one liked her scallops but my entree was a let down. At $32 a dish of pasta... More

The food at L'Assiette is far superior to any I have had on LBI and off the island as well. Unique dishes presented beautifully and friendly, well-versed servers. A cut above other restaurants.

We have dined at L'assiette several times and have NEVER been disappointed with the food nor the service. Everything has been beautifully presented, properly cooked, and delicious. The services has always been terrific. The servers are young but have been well trained and are well versed in the menu offerings. We will continue to support this great LBI restaurant!

My husband and I have dined at L'assiette a few times and always enjoy our meal. We are always greeted by a friendly college-aged girl who chats with us about our day at the beach and tells us about the new specials. The servers, who also appear to be college girls working for a summer job, are always knowledgeable about... More

We never had a chance to evaluate the food because the service was so horrible we left before our order was even taken. We had made a reservation for 4 at 8pm on a Thursday night. A few minutes after arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess, led to an awkwardly long table set for 6 and... More

Not a great meal and doesn't justify the price in my opinion.

On a quiet fall weekend we had a delightful dinner at L'assiette. The chef has a deft touch that was evident in every dish. We enjoyed a salad of fried oysters whose crisp exteriors did a perfect job of containing the briny creatures within. A dish of sweet scallops were offset by the smokey flavors of the accompanying risotto. The... More
