Cozy and Fantastic

This beautifully designed small restaurant in downtown Summit feels like walking into my Italian grandmother's kitchen. The aromas are fantastic and the varied selection of dinner choices are all wonderful. It is a fun restaurant for the entire family and also does a great take-out business.

We ate at the LaPastaria for dinner three nights in a row while staying at the DeBary Inn, two short blocks away. The food is delicious, prices reasonable, and selection wonderful! The soups and salads were especially good. The pasta dishes were plentiful and scrumptious. The waiter and entire staff were friendly and offered great service. The first night, it... More

Had attended a repast yesterday at La Pastaria in Summit. Had never been there before. There was a large crowd, where they didn't know how many to expect. They accommodated us beautifully. The food was top-notch. The small wait-staff worked their butts off to keep everything bussed & served properly. They did not rush us, nor were they inattentive. Everything... More

Used this restaurant for a family gathering following a funeral. They were unable to seat us all in one room, so unfortunately people had to go from room to room to "visit." The service was above average, as was the food. I think I would think twice before contracting with them for a large party, but probably fine for lunch... More

We had a few meals here 5-8 years ago.......great linguini and clam sauce. All other meals below average; same with the management. Tried it again this week - very disappointed. Red sauce over spiced, not fresh tasting. Pasta overcooked, sticky. Chicken ariabiata mushy and oily; was it pre-cooked? We were with a party of 8; waiters cleared peoples plates as... More

La Pastaria used to be one of our favorite Italian joints in a state crowded with them. Sadly, it is no longer what it used to be. The food is just average. Sad.

Had a business lunch here yesterday and with the numerous options available for lunch I wanted to recommend this restaurant. The special salad was watermelon and grilled shrimp. May not sound like a regular dish but trust me, for a hot sunny summer day, it was delicious and refreshing. Two of had a great outdoor seat with enough shade where... More

Have eaten here several times for lunch during work week. Excellent specials. Quick service. Love the goat cheese salad with cranberries. An all time favorite of several of us who work in Summit.
