We have been to Twisties several times to sit at the bar and have a few beers. We decided to give the restaurant a try. BAD IDEA!!! The menu LOOKS god but it isn't. Out of the 6 entrees we ordered, 3 were sent back. The stuffed shrimp looked like it was stuffed with baby food. The shrimp salad has... More

For years Twisties has survived because of it's unique location and rustic appearance. Most recently I found the bar staff lacks that personality that a service business needs when it is only open for a few months a year. Bar staff appears to be inexperienced on most recent visit on a busy summer night. When you have to wait an... More

Worst service and worst restaurant experience ever. We hadn't even received our appetizers and we were told that the kitchen was closed and we couldn't order anything else. We waited forever for our food. Don't bother going.

Wife and I walked into this place and it was weather beaten, kind of dark , kind of not classy but a darn good shore place. We sat down at the bar and the bar tender was well over her head but got to us our drink. After a half a drink we struck up a conversation with some of... More

Stopped here for drinks and loved the fact that the crowd was older (over 30) The restaurant area was filled, Frank Sinatra was playing on the jukebox and we were sitting at the bar facing the bay. Very relaxing, enjoyable time there. We even met a few new friends.

My wife our daughter and I went about a week ago. We walked in and sat right down, no wait at 5:45 PM We all had different meals, we all had a salad and split an appetizer between the three of us. The Calamari was delicious, prepared and sliced long ways not in the usual rings. Our salads arrived and... More

I used to go to Twisties 50 years ago for beers and sandwiches. Recently they've expanded to full meals. The food is more than adequate, but not remarkable, but the atmosphere, especially since it is right on the water, is more than enough reason to go there for a vacation week dinner, a sandwich or snacks and a few drinks,... Yet to have an average meal here. So convenient to Ocean City NJ. Ahi tuni was to die for. If you're looking for romance this might not be the place. It's a lively place with a bar scene as well.

We came for the first time this weekend and were underwhelmed. It was very crowded, a good sign, but we waited a really long time for a simple burger and a chicken sandwich... Like almost a half hour. To the waitress's credit, she did apologize. It was very loud and the drinks were pricey for being such a casual place.... More

While the food was solid (house salad, fish sandwich [mahi mahi with onions and cheese] and crab cake), the noise was unbelievable. Also, the beer on tap is served in plastic cups which defeats the whole purpose - for the price, you should go with bottles. Tiny deck with views while you wait (and wait) for table.
