Great food; host could be friendlier

It is always a family favorite while we are vacationing at the Jersey Shore. The food is wonderful and as highlighted on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives...it tastes as amazing as it looks. The biggest downfall is the host. I expect a host to acknowedlge me when I enter the front door (I was ignored... read more

Don't be put off by the shabby-chic decor and energetic noise level, the food here is REALLY GOOD. Try the whole fish or Maine lobster roll, both are excellent. Some old menus around town say "cash only", but they now take credit cards. GO.

People beware! Food is good, better than average, albeit pricey. Front desk staff, in particular south American male owner/family member with dark short ponytail is antagonistic to guests, mouthy and rude He needs to stay in the kitchen or get out of the business....he's been around one summer too long! Should never, ever be manning the front desk or interacting... More

We have been coming regularly to this wonderful restaurant. The food and ambience are great. But the front house needs a lot more attention. The pretty but dim hostess messed up our booking the first time and gave our table away. She then put us to the bottom of the list for another hour wait and clearly didn't care. Normally... More

Walked in without a reservation and was told that it would take 20-30 minutes for the three of us to be sat. In the meantime, my family and I went to a local bar to grab a drink and wait. After 40 minutes, we went back to see where we were at on the list. 'Another three parties in front... More

My family of 4 waited an hour for a table for dinner. All the meals ordered were very good but a bit on the small portion side. The combination of the high prices for the entrees and the long wait will probably mean we will go somewhere else next time.

I ordered the fish tacos ($21). They come as three tacos with no sides included. Honestly, I could have gotten a way better meal at a food truck. The chickpea salad they serve with dinner doesn't look very appetizing and is a little bland. My husband ordered the crab cake platter ($28), and he did enjoy his meal. For what... More

Saw the Triple D review and had this restaurant on our foodie bucket list. Fun atmosphere out on the patio. Moqueca Stew was every bit as anticipated. Clam bellies were a fun twist on fried calm strips.

We discovered Quahogs four years ago, after passing by it many times not sure why there were always large groups of people waiting outside. After our first time there, we realized why! Food is excellent, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy...dark and intimate inside, energetic and fun outside. Favorite dishes? The guacamole (best on the island!), empanadas, lobster rolls... Bad service, stuffy, hot, dingy, dirty dining room. Food nothing special. A tradition that needs an updated. My son have watermelon ceviche that was mushy soup.
