We moved to the area in 2007 and enjoy coming to Toro Loco - we come at least twice a month and are always treated very well - the food is very good and fresh - we enjoy our margarita and the fajitas

I had the pleasure of first eating here in 1991. Then it was so fresh and exciting. The staff was incredible as was the food. As the years have go on, the portion sizes have dwindled and as have the staff and their attitudes. If you're going for just a drink at the bar or a taco or two -... More

After waiting for over an hour for a table. We barely got food and drinks. Got overcharged for things we didn't order. When I tried to complain the daughter of the owner got into my face. I didn't even insult her or say anything to her. I have never been treated by someone this way.

This is not an accurate account of what transpired on May 5, 2014 when this incident took place. We have video tape of what actually happened, and after yelling at 3 employees and asking if they "SPEAK ENGLISH this is AMERICA" you then went on to verbally attack Teresa using profanity. After you lunged at her downstairs by your table... More

Not a cheap, inexpensive mexican restaurant. They have a number of top shelf Margarita choices, a nice lounge area downstairs, and good food. Good for family of friends. Very good salsa and chips, nice and crisp. The desserts are good also. The whole-fish dishes are actual whole fish, head and all, so not for the squeamish. Good for dinner or... More

Come here for the Frozen Margaritas. The food tastes better after a glass or two. It's kind of a dive bar. Do not get the nachos. They are not what you expect them to be.

This is an all round easy option for family dinners. No stress, comfortably noisy, the atmosphere very laid back and accomodating. Food is okay, nothing to write home about; If you are in good company then you won't notice the food. The bar on a friday evening was full and eveyone seemed jovial. Perhaps it was just the Friday spirit.... More

Sadly, this is the only Mexican option for South Orange, though much better options exist in Maplewood and Summit. It's average, acceptable, and they've really come a long way with their guacamole in the last 2 years. It's just decent, though, and typical of nearly all restaurants in South Orange - we accept them for being what they are, but... More

This place is still pumping out great food and drinks, and they will even buy you a drink if you are a good boy. Been back twice in the last couple of weeks and really enjoyed myself!!! Last night was Chorizo enchiladas, melted cheese and tortilla's followed by soft shell beef taco's....all good. My buddy had the skirt steak and... More

Mostly we go for the good price on frozen margaritas and chips. Food is plentiful. Usually good or very good, though occasionally not so great. It is very crowded on weekends from 7pm on.
