We were made very welcome, us and the dog. The pub has a great atmosphere and there are many locals enjoying a few beers together. We found that they were incredibly friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. Real ales were excellent, large glasses of wine are very generous. The food was seriously good. Between us we had a selection... More

Fantastic roast dinner today. Huge portions but both the beef and belly pork were incredibly tender! The veg and accompaniments were wonderful. No room for pud but they looked good.Staff are friendly and the prices very favourable too! We all really enjoyed it, thank you.

We enjoyed our visit to the Bridgend with two friends. The food is of a high standard with a large selection of local beers and ciders. It is in a lovely setting shame that it was raining on the evening that we went. The staff made us feel very welcome and will return in the not so distant future give... More

Just been and had our last meal out before our holiday comes to an end, the only negative was that we did not find this place sooner. Although the menu looks expensive it was great value for money. There was 5 of us in the group all having something different to eat, no one was disappointed. Both main and deserts... More

Lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome at The Bridge. We were really well looked after and enjoyed the lovely setting, and great view from the dining room where we were seated. The food was excellent - an outstandingly good steak pie and absolutely delicious oriental salmon dish with zingy gingery flavour. The menu has a great mix of traditional and more... More

A year since my last review sees the chef's high standards and the welcome remain as good as ever. Gargantuan roasts with whole steamers of vegetables on the side, lighter lunches, guest ciders and beers all still inventive and tasty. Now there's a reason no one need be the parched designated driver - four bedrooms in a characterful former farmhouse... More

Myself and my family enjoyed a wonderful meal here at the end of July. The setting is beautiful and the food is of a very high standard. The local beers and ciders on offer are great and add to the country feeling that this pub portrays.

Having just completed an afternoon of paintballing at Mountain Mayhem down the road (go for it, it is great fun and they do it very well) we were all ready for a fill up and story telling of our adventures. The only downside was we could not sit out in the garden as it was raining. The food was just... More

We stayed in the area and this restaurant was listed as being close. I rang at 6.15 and was told we could go in an hour. We where a adult group of 7 plus a two year old. Excellent choice of food and varied. Staff friendly and attentive. No one was disappointed with their choice. All in a lovely setting... More

Arrived and was seated in a very dark and claustrophobic room just off the main restaurant. After 20 mins no one came to take our order so I went to the bar to get someone's attention - the restaurant was not busy at that time. We had just about finished our starters when our main course was brought - our... More
