Delicious.

We were staying in a beautiful cottage nearby and only ventured out one evening and due to lots of fab reviews in the cottages visitors book choose to come here. It was dark and through lots of narrow lanes but we found it. The menu was varied but didn't prepare you for the wonderful meal that was... read more

Visited here on recommendation and were not disappointed. Arrived on a busy Sunday lunchtime and staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was superb, the best pub roast we have had.

We ate here twice during a recent stay in the village. The pub is great, very cosy and welcoming. The owner recognised us from popping in earlier in the day for a quick drink when we returned for dinner and was very welcoming and very interested to hear about our stay in the area. The food was really good. The... More

Visited the pub recently while on a long weekend in Wales and went on recommendation so popped over the border and had the best tasting Sunday Roast from a pub ever. The staff were polite, friendly and keen to provide a good service. Highly recommend this place and if I had needed accommodation I would have felt confident staying there... More

First trip in our camper van and couldn't have wished to be in a better place. Glynn very welcoming and couldn't have done more for us - arrived on Friday to a very warm welcome. Ate in the pub on Friday night and as others have described the food is outstanding. Camping is good and while we were there, changes... More

We have enjoyed a few meals here now and all have been good, usually dinner at the end of a working day. Good choice and good selection of wine etc. Always a warm welcome and friendly staff. Really nice atmosphere. I highly recommend. Can not comment on outdoor seating etc as have only been in cold/wet weather. However the location... More

Booked a table for 15 of us to celebrate our family holiday and it was perfect! Beautiful location and friendly staff and then there was the food. Absolutely lip smackingly tasty! My husbands venison was fantastically rich. I had the bridge burger which was wonderful and huge! Child portions were devoured by even the littlest among us. There wasn't a... More

On a cold Feb evening, what better than the most wonderful beef and bacon and local ale pie - good to look at, even better to eat! Too filling to even contemplate nice sounding puds.

Have visited this pub now about 5 time for lunch. Always warm with good service with fine ales. Food is good with excellent vegetables which are steamed and piping hot. My only comment is the mess of bins as you approach the pub with boxes lying around is poor and shows a lack of care which could be fixed /... More
