More than Average

Ordered an Irish Scramble breakfast. Was way more than I expected, was more than I could eat in one sitting, and from looking over the menu, is not your average diner anymore. Service has always usually been good.

I only stop here for breakfast once in a while, so I can't honest remark on other types of meals. I think the prices are a bit high, but these days that's not out of the ordinary for a diner in this area. I usually get an omelet and they're always good, tasty and filling. I usually find the home-fried... More

Average diner food, same menu's as most, nothing particular stands out in this diner, although it is always packed as most NJ Diners... I've had, breakfast and lunch, never dinner. Average.

Still a good diner to head to after a late night. Good service, food, and place. Friendly and quick. Accommodates large groups with reservations!

Being from Mass. we don't have GREAT diners and we just love to visit them when we visit NJ. Somerset did not disappoint! Our waitress was spot on, quick, helpful and friendly. The food was great and well prepared. We were a group of 5 and the waitress even offered to split the check! Drinks were to us before we'd... More

Not often we visit a diner but this was a good one. The menu was extensive and the waitress very helpful. Each day has a page or two of specials and a guide is very helpful. We got a good meal...tasty, large portions, not expensive. And they let you bring in your own bottle! Something we miss from our Somerset... More

This is a wonderful example of a true New Jersey Diner. Wonderful staff, wonderful food. We've had dinner for two at 7pm and Lunch for 25 on a Sunday afternoon in a snow storm. They always accommodate no matter the size of the group or the occasion.

Ate breakfast here several times last weekend. Food was OK. Companions did not like the potatoes served with breakfast. They do serve you a lot of food.

First off save room for dessert or take some to go...The desserts at SD are excellent!! The plate servings are huge so come hungry. Lots to choose from and you won't be disappointed.

It was our first time trying this diner. Heard from a lot of people how great it is and finally, one day, we decided to check it out. The atmosphere was nice. We were seated by the bar and everyone had a smile on their faces, always great to see that. The waitress that we had was suchhhhh a pleasure... More
