We stop here when ever we are in the area, which is usually a couple times a month. We've had dinners here, excellent, and lunchs super excellent. Very filling sandwiches. Service is always good.

Had a great Mahi Mahi fish sandwich with fries for lunch. Mahi Mahi came blackened as requested on a delicious bun. Totally enjoyed the flavorful fish!

My husband and I went there last year and loved it. It's got a great bar, great food, good service and we found everyone there to be super friendly. I would definitely go

A friend had recommended the Anchorage Tavern. We went on a very busy weekend and had a party of five. My husband and I were disappointed with The Crab Trap last summer -(should be renamed the "tourist trap") We had expected a wait and there was, an hour and 1/2 wait. We hung at the bar and had some beers.... More

This old restaurant has been a local favorite for years. I have enjoyed my meals. I do come knowing that I will most likely need to order fried seafood even though I do not usually eat fried foods. They do a great job. Their fish with a salad, usually a special of the day, never disappoints. Sit on the outside,... More

My husband and I wanted to try this place, but when we walked in, it was very loud, crowded, and a little too casual for us. Food looked and smelled good, but we weren't looking for an upscale Applebee's. This isn't a chain, but it is not high end either. We left and went to Doc's across the street, where... More

Ate here with my daughter and a freind. All declared it was a great meal. I had horseradish crusted salmon with fried tomatoes. It was awsome. They both had pasta dishes that were very big and tasty. We spoke to a few of the waitstaff and all were very freindly considering the place was packed. First time there but I... More

Been coming here for years. The place has a lively bar atmosphere as well as a sophisticated dining room. Service is great at both bars...so much so we decided to have dinner at the mini bar in the dining room...both last night and during the Belmont stakes. Wings are phenomenal and they have good seafood as well. Solid A anytime... More

This was my first time here. We got seated pretty fast, but it was in the tavern section which was loud, but not that bad. Service was quick and friendly. There were 8 of us so it was surprising that the food arrived so quickly. The menu was extensive. I was hoping for lobster or king crab, but they didn't... More

We love the Anchorage. Always great food and service. Prices are excellent too. Everything is fresh. We arrived at 5pm - and were seated right away on the porch. (request the porch in the summer!) When we left at 6:15, there were lots of people waiting to be seated. Never a bad wait, as there is a nice bar and... More
