Spinach dip and fresh chips!!!

Took my 77 YO mom here for lunch during October 2014. We had no wait and were seated quickly. Please note that during summer season the wait can be LONG due to beach tourist. We ordered and shared the spinach/artichoke dip and were served FRESH, WARM,, JUST made chips. Delicious!! Light not... read more

Me and my husband ate here last night. I had seen it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and luckily we had plans to be in the area just 2 weeks after seeing the episode. I truly can not say enough about this restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious, and everyone on the staff was so kind and attentive. We had mozzarella... More

Found this place on trip advisor and I have to agree with all the great reviews. It was easy to see this is a local hot spot because when we walked in with a team of female volleyball players in New Jersey for a tournament they didn't know what hit them. That being a table of 15 was set up... More

First time here but will most definitely be back!! Great waitress, Suzanne friendly and attentive!! For Appetizers had the stuffed mushrooms and cannoli that was featured on DDD both very tasty. The flounder stuffed with crab another excellent choice!! Left full and leftovers for later!

What a find! Saw this place on the Food Channel program Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. It featured the owner who is the chef there. He was there when we went and came around to the tables while we were eating making sure everything was okay. He was also present on the way out and we had a chance to chat... More

I Was in Somers Point on business, decided on Anchorage Tavern and had dinner solo at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. If you eat at the bar, expect two checks. One for drinks one for food. I had the black and blue steak. The lump crab meat was plentiful and very tasty. I ordered Medium and got.......... Medium... More

Fantastic Experience, One side is a bar/lounge "where everyone knows your name"; the other is a dinning room complete with fireplace. The owner, Don is present, makes you feel welcome and walks the dinning room checking on everything, Dan is the best waiter I've had in a long time, covers every detail and goes above and beyond to make sure... I was in Somers Point for business, we tried a few different restaurants in town and found that the Anchorage was the best. Excellent food, Unbelievable service, great prices. The owner came over and introduced himself the first night we were there. This is the only restaurant that we went back too on our trip. Very much a local favorite... More

We have been going to the restaurant since 1998. Current and past staff have always been top shelf. The food is plentiful, well prepared and reasonable. We've never been there where the owner hasn't stopped by our table to ask how things are. Unfortunately, we go there less often in the summer because it's packed with tourists who love going... Thought, hmmm, before we head out of Ocean City, NJ on a chilly afternoon day, wouldn't it be nice to find a table by the water and enjoy a nice warm meal for lunch. TADA! Anchorage Tavern appeared and it was REALLY packed for a midweek lunch. We are given the choice to sit in the very crowded bar, the... More
