Since it is right over the 9th street bridge going into Ocean City, it is the last restaurant where you can get an alcoholic drink with your meal. The food is very consistently better than average, but nothing mind-blowing. The best thing on the menu is the fresh cold crabmeat cocktail appetizer. It is $13.95, but it could be a... More

Wife and I decided on lunch at a familiar spot; I decided on a unfamiliar menu choice- a luncheon salad. It was the Captain's Salad. Arriving in an attractive glass bowl, its presentation was exceptional: foundaton of several lettuces into which were worked firm tomato quarters, black olives, hard-boiled egg, touches of red onion and cabbage, two jumbo shrimp and... I had the Chilean Sea Bass on corn risotto with lobster sauce. It was possibly the best meal I have had that I can remember.

The Crab Trap is one the best restaurants in the area. Nice atmosphere, friendly waiters and waitresses. Meals are excellant, my husband and I have never had a bad meal there. The steak is great, the crispy crab cakes are awesone and my husbands favorite the stuffed flounder. You can't go wrong with the crab bisque soup. Their early bird... More

Went on a Saturday afternoon with my husband in January. Even though it was off-season, we had to wait for about 15-20 minutes for a table, so it is quite the popular place, even with the locals. We both started with the crab bisque and was probably the best I have other had! It was delicious! I then ordered the... More

Nice relaxing, comfortable place for lunch or dinner at the shore. Delicious food and nice bar. Would recommend reservations; it gets busy early and stays that way.

Okay, I get it, the place is always busy, there's always a crowd, and you're going to have to wait. But, if I'm going to wait, I expect my dinner to be worth the wait. This was okay, don't get me wrong, but it didn't knock my socks off. Especially with the prices you have to pay. The menu has... More

Went on a Sunday evening when many places were just about empty. But saw the Crab Trap parking lot was full as a good sign. Our first visit was great--quick service but not rushed. Our server was attentive to our needs. Food was delicious and servings plentiful. I would recommend the veal pesce, sautéed veal and large shrimp with spinach... More
