Good food, good value, good atmosphere! Ordered off the Twilight dinner menu. Got Seafood Combo with Flounder, Shrimp, Stuffed Clams, Scallops with hot dinner rolls, Choice of veggie (I went with Brussel Sprouts) Tossed Salad (I chose Blue Cheese Dressing with extra dressing) as appetizer, drink and dessert (I chose Home-Made Bread Pudding) all this with great service for $19.... Restaurant was highly recommended, even on this site, and the lobby was crowded with folks waiting over an hour for a table. My wife said her Shrimp Scampi was excellent but my Blackened Mahi Mahi was marginal. Blackened fish normally doesn't mean burnt or without spices. Oh well there are other places in Somers Point and Ocean City to try.

My wife and I stopped by the Crab Trap after hearing rave reviews from my parents. My folks are the pickiest of eaters (and also slightly frugal) so this place definitely intrigued me. I was not disappointed! We stopped in during lunch service. The restaurant was crowded but there was seating immediately available. After being brought to our table, I... More

My experience on 3/15/15 at 3:30 pm was poor service and poor food. Service starting with the front desk, was mediocre to poor. My entree wasn't even worthy of the worst tourist trap on the shore. I regularly dine out and enjoy a good meal. I don't mind spending for a good experience - look at my other reviews. Sometimes... More

This is a wonderful place to eat. The service was far above average and the food was amazing. We had crab cakes and stuffed shrimp. There was more food than I could eat!

I remember going to Crab Trap from my teen-days. And, it was the best seafood restaurant around. Times certainly have changed but the fact that the Crab Trap is constantly overflowing at dinner time today is ample testimony to one simple fact –satisfied customers come back again and again. And tell others. The regular menu is a huge single sheet... More

I was on a business trip and we went to the Crab Trap. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. When we went there, there was a special for the night, I ended up with 2 full meals (salad, entree, dessert) which one I used as my lunch for the next day. Both were excellent (a shrimp and lobster dish the other... More

So its Valentine's day and we're in Ocean City, New Jersey. Sure, we could drive to Atlantic City for dinner, but why do that when the Crab Trap is just across the causeway!!! We took our chances ... no reservation ... and it was well-worth the 20 minute wait! The meal couldn't have been better ... flounder with crab imperial,... More
