An old dependable

I eat at the Crab Trap regularly. With one or two exceptions, the meals are excellent. My sisters and I dined there for a late lunch last Sunday and the three of us were very impressed. Husband and I arrived at 2:30 last Sunday afternoon. We were seated after a very short wait in the middle room. Our server was quick and pleasant. Our soups were hot and served with nice warm rolls. awe asked for and received oyster crackers. Our entrees a stuffed flounder and a captains salad were fresh and relish! were were too... More

I've been coming to the Crab Trap since I was a child and I've never had a bad meal here. One of my all-time favorite restaurants for great food and service.

We go to the Crab Trap at least once a week and it is also excellent. No matter how crowded it is the service is top notch and all the servers, etc. keep a smiling face and a professional demeanor. The management recognizes their customers with rewards such as Customer Appreciation Night, certain special nights, lots of specials each night.

Chose to wait the 45 minutes for a table because being a local I knew how delicious the food is at the crap trap. At first I was delighted that we seated at a booth around the bar. I choose to get the soup sampler as my appetizer....I had had their crab bisque in the past and knew how absolutely... More

Our hotel, Watson's Regency Suites, recommended this restaurant and it was a great dinner for us! We sat near the active fireplace, which was not only beautiful but very welcome on a cold, rainy April evening. Our server was very attentive and came by at just the right times. High praise for the blackened tilapia appetizer (tasty and large portion)... More

We usually come in summer time, when you can easily wait 60-90 minutes for a table. They take no reservations. But we were recently here a few days before Easter, on a Thursday night, and we waited only 10-15 minutes. Food is always good. Wait staff is efficient and quick but not overly friendly. They are efficient, and fast....almost like... More

We have been visiting the Crab Trap for years. Last night's Customer Appreciation dinner was once again a delightful experience. The restaurant was a bit crowded upon arrival so after a 40 minute wait we were seated and had our drink orders taken by our friendly waitress. The warm bread and muffins and family style salad were very good and... More

Good food, good value, good atmosphere! Ordered off the Twilight dinner menu. Got Seafood Combo with Flounder, Shrimp, Stuffed Clams, Scallops with hot dinner rolls, Choice of veggie (I went with Brussel Sprouts) Tossed Salad (I chose Blue Cheese Dressing with extra dressing) as appetizer, drink and dessert (I chose Home-Made Bread Pudding) all this with great service for $19.... Restaurant was highly recommended, even on this site, and the lobby was crowded with folks waiting over an hour for a table. My wife said her Shrimp Scampi was excellent but my Blackened Mahi Mahi was marginal. Blackened fish normally doesn't mean burnt or without spices. Oh well there are other places in Somers Point and Ocean City to try.
