Old world charm meets new world hospitality in this lovely lakeside landmark. A longtime locals favorite serving award winning classic continental cuisine with a modern flair. The restaurant, resurrected from an uncertain future in 1997 by the combined efforts of the Coppola & Bushar families, has since reclaimed its spot among the favorite dining locations in the Atlantic City area.

Baremore Tavern: charming but wouldn't revisit

We visited on a Wednesday evening in March, and there was a nice crowd inside. Smithville is charming, and the decor is worth a step inside, but I don't recommend much more than a pint of ale. Went to the Inn for Brunch. What a great spread! The omelettes were very good, and not too big. Plenty of breakfast things like bacon, sausage, waffles, breakfast potatoes, etc. a whole section of pastry and breakfast breads with smoked Salmon, tomatoes, red onion and capers. The salad bar was complete, my wife loved the chicken salad. The Roast Beef was... More

We went during restaurant week and had a GREAT meal at a great price. The ambiance in the place is the best! There is a real wood burning fireplace as soon as you walk in the door and it just gets better from there. Service and value are excellent!

My soon to be in-laws threw my fiance and me a surprise engagement party at the the Smithville Inn. Everyone raved about the food (it was buffet style), including my soon to be bride and myself (who tend to be picky eaters). The fireplace was warm and cozy, and everything was very appealing to the eye. The service was excellent,... More

Visited for lunch for the first time during the Restaurant Week Event. The service was excellent, efficient, and attentive. The food was served hot and delicious. The atmosphere was a nice calm setting for adult couples, friends, or family.

My wife and I have visited the Smithville Inn numerous times. We had one Sunday brunch which was excellent. Other than this we've previously indulged in their famous chicken pot pies. On this trip we actually read the menu and elected to try something different. I selected a Chicken Rustica which was very, very good. My wife had a brisket... More

We arrived in Smithville on a rainy Saturday night. As it was a special occasion, we reserved a table at this restaurant. Upon entering. we were greeted cheerfully in a lobby with a wood-burning fireplace. We were seated in the main dining rooom, with its view of the lake. The main dining room is spacious, warm and comfortable. We decided... More

We have been to Smithville many times throughout the years and we always said we would go. This time we reserved the Valentines weekend down the shore and made reservations for Sunday night Feb 15. The appetizers were to die for and our entrees were excellent!!! We will be coming more often in the future!!!!!

Delicious food and atmosphere. The chef is very creative. Warm and friendly staff. Great bartenders who make you feel welcomed. The village is fun to walk around and shop.
