Old world charm meets new world hospitality in this lovely lakeside landmark. A longtime locals favorite serving award winning classic continental cuisine with a modern flair. The restaurant, resurrected from an uncertain future in 1997 by the combined efforts of the Coppola & Bushar families, has since reclaimed its spot among the favorite dining locations in the Atlantic City area.

Enjoyed cocktails, staff was excellent! They also recommended things to do while we visited the area. Beautiful old building.

My husband and I once again enjoyed an excellent meal, from salad to dessert, in a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere! The hostess Kathy was very helpful on the phone as well as greeting us in a friendly manner when we arrived! Our waiter David greeted us in a timely fashion, informed us about the specials on the menu, and served... More

We visited on a Wednesday evening in March, and there was a nice crowd inside. Smithville is charming, and the decor is worth a step inside, but I don't recommend much more than a pint of ale. Edamame dumplings (appetizer) were quite nice, but it stopped there. The corn chowder was not seasoned well and there were lumps of flour.... More

Went to the Inn for Brunch. What a great spread! The omelettes were very good, and not too big. Plenty of breakfast things like bacon, sausage, waffles, breakfast potatoes, etc. a whole section of pastry and breakfast breads with smoked Salmon, tomatoes, red onion and capers. The salad bar was complete, my wife loved the chicken salad. The Roast Beef was... More

We went during restaurant week and had a GREAT meal at a great price. The ambiance in the place is the best! There is a real wood burning fireplace as soon as you walk in the door and it just gets better from there. Service and value are excellent!

My soon to be in-laws threw my fiance and me a surprise engagement party at the the Smithville Inn. Everyone raved about the food (it was buffet style), including my soon to be bride and myself (who tend to be picky eaters). The fireplace was warm and cozy, and everything was very appealing to the eye. The service was excellent,... More

Visited for lunch for the first time during the Restaurant Week Event. The service was excellent, efficient, and attentive. The food was served hot and delicious. The atmosphere was a nice calm setting for adult couples, friends, or family.

My wife and I have visited the Smithville Inn numerous times. We had one Sunday brunch which was excellent. Other than this we've previously indulged in their famous chicken pot pies. On this trip we actually read the menu and elected to try something different. I selected a Chicken Rustica which was very, very good. My wife had a brisket... More

We arrived in Smithville on a rainy Saturday night. As it was a special occasion, we reserved a table at this restaurant. Upon entering. we were greeted cheerfully in a lobby with a wood-burning fireplace. We were seated in the main dining rooom, with its view of the lake. The main dining room is spacious, warm and comfortable. We decided... More
