Description: Old world charm meets new world hospitality in this lovely lakeside landmark. A longtime locals favorite serving award winning classic continental cuisine with a modern flair. The restaurant, resurrected from an uncertain future in 1997 by the combined efforts of the Coppola & Bushar families, has since reclaimed its spot among the favorite dining locations in the Atlantic City area.

We spent New's Year's Eve having dinner at the Smithville Inn. On time for our reservations, food was very good and the service attentative. It helps also that the ambience was still Christmas and with the Christmas lights on the lake made it so much more charming. They had a piano player there also who was very good and added... More

We were here just before Christmas and enjoyed a nice dinner. The portions were very large - The french onion soup (delish!) could have served as my entree. We had lots of leftovers to take home. The shrimp and scallops pasta dish was very delicious. The only downside was that the waitress forgot to take my dad's order. We only... More

The decor is just what you'd expect in this little historic town. The food is very good and their specials are very well priced. We've been there for lunch and dinner and always had good service and food.

Overcooked food. Originally ordered a medium rare filet, came out medium well....then another filet came out medium but cold. Lamb chops were overcooked and scallop potatoes were undercooked. Not worth the money.

Beautiful old Inn with crackling fireplace and lovely view of lake. After half hour wait we were finally seated.I guess we have high expectations because the restaurant was packed.I cannot complain about the atmosphere or the service our waitress was wonderfulbut as far as food quality we were sorely disappointed. The orange juice was warm and tasted like Tang. The... More

We have dined at the Smithville Inn in the past and have always enjoyed the fine dining and wonderful atmosphere. Tonight was special because the server Mike Ryan provided exceptional service which truly enhanced the experience.

The building itself is wonderful - set in the "town" of historic Smithville, great view of the lake and quaint shopping area. All rooms in this restaurant are charming and comfortable. Food and drink choices were diverse - there is something for everyone on the menu, from "comfort food" to gourmet quality! Service was very good, servers are generally very... More

Friends told us about the prime rib special for $20. Wow. about a 14oz slice, baked potato, green beans and a salad. and it was nice and medium rare. Salad and sides were good. Extensive wine list that is reasonably priced. Wines at Ruth's Chris that are $125 are marked at $85-95 here. split a baked apple desert that was... More

We were visiting from out of town for my God-Nieces wedding and decided to have brunch with my wife's aunt and my in-laws the next morning. Not too expensive and a large selection of fine foods along with the regulars you'd find in any buffet. Service was very attentive. And there's lots to see afterwards when you stroll around Smithville.
