Worth the wait! Come early or late or just enjoy talking to the others waiting... We are year round Ship Bottom residents for over 22 years &this is a favorite - and not just because Vinny & Dana are fabulous & our kids were friends when they were young... snd by that I mean you and your guests are cozily entrenched in one of the many tables in the outside restaurant (no indoor tables). First time we ate here and it did not disappoint - we actually were served by a member of the family and it was a pleasure to discuss the family and history of the restaurant.... More

All of the seating is outside and the decor is really interesting. It had the feel of Key West. There are quite a few breakfast items to choose. Our server, Eric, was really pleasant and gave a thorough description of the specials and and we opted for Crab Cakes Benedict and Parmesan Baked Egg. Both were delicious. We went on... More

Good food with ok service. A little slow. It's a great place for breakfast when not in a hurry. Try the Parmesan Baked Egg.

Google map didn't show the right direction so we had a hard time to find this location. It was a cute and fun deco that we truly enjoyed. Waitresses were friendly, but a bit pricy. Dessert was Gigantic, fried Oreo sundae may be worthy trying.

Excellent and creative foods, breakfast and lunch and desserts are memorable in their own right; but eating in the garden among all the fun artifacts - and the staff and service are wonderful. Truly one of the best and most memorable eating places - and we travel a lot. Owners Vinnie and Dana are dedicated to a wonderful, fun time... More

The food is great, the staff is fabulous. You can not be in a rush when you go to the Sandbox and time seems to stop when you arrive there. I always feel like I have gone to the Florida Keys. I amazes me that they can make such great food from the teeny tiny kitchen they have. Be sure... More

We have visited this establishment a few times this summer. We have yet to be disappointed with any of our choices for breakfast. We have tried lunch here but we highly recommend going for breakfast instead. If you want to avoid a long wait we suggest trying to be there at least 15 minutes b4 their scheduled opening. During high... More

My wife and I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time but always passed it up because of the wait. Well we decided to wait and we are glad we did. This is an outside restaurant and is very tight but it didn't bother us. I felt like we were eating somewhere outside in NYC just... More

You'll wait for a table but man, is it worth it. Great pancakes ( try the Sizzler), eggs, waffles, etc. the oatmeal with raisins is served in a big parfait glass and is absolutely delicious. Top off the great food with a perfect LBI setting and really friendly waiters. Well worth the visit!
