I dream about this place in the winter time. It's that good. I come here every summer for lunch and/or dinner. Yes, the waits can be long as it's a small place and some groups show up with 8 & 10 in their party. (no reservations) Try take out (super fast) or order an appetizer while you wait and sit... More

Always can count on the freshness of the fish; particularly savor their raw oysters. We have both eaten in and taken out. While you may have to wait a little bit for food to arrive, it's because everything is fresh and made to order.

A nice small place with yummy seafood. No reservations and few tables equal long waits if you are not prepared. We got there at 430ish and got a table right away. Garlic clams with crab meat were great; would order a few orders and make an entree of them. Everyone had something that was tasty except the crab cakes, they... More

Went here for dinner on a Friday night. We are visiting Long Beach Island for a wedding and stopped in for dinner...9 of us.. 1 hour wait (only about 9 tables in restaurant) but so worth it!!! Food was DELICIOUS!!! Tuna steak-great! Clam chowder- awesome! Snow crab- fantastic! Fried seafood combo- amazing. No complaints about anything!! And best part is... More

Truly great seafood! During the summer it is impossible to get a table in under 2 hours so we mostly get it to go! It's every bit as good when sitting on the deck with a chilled glass of white wine.

One of the staples on LBI - always consistently good and fresh. Be warned, however, your wait times could be extensive - it is that good!

This restaurant is a block away from the beach. So after, one can walk off feeling full. Just a cute little place with wooden decor kinda like inside the cabin of a boat. We thought the seafood was amazing. Especially the crab cakes. It's so fresh.

I'd read so many good reviews of this place, I was looking forward to enjoying it for the first time while on vacation in September 2014. It was a huge disappointment. The breading was flavorless on the clams and onion rings and excessive. I actually could not finish my meal, and I love seafood! I cannot say I even want... More

Before we frequented Mud City for take out, we would use Ship Bottom Shellfish. (Word has it they're owned by the same family.) The menus are quite similar, if not the same. Thinking it wouldn't be impossible to get a seat at Mud City because it is now off-season, we intended to go to Mud City to eat in for... More
