Cute but, average food with LBI pricing

We are "southend" folks, so this was our first visit. We visited late morning in early off-season, so wait wasn't a problem. The place is cute as can be-love the mosaic wall! But the food is just average, and at normal LBI prices..... My scrambled eggs were flatter than the pancakes, but the hash... read more

While in town for a wedding, we sought out a great breakfast place before the journey home. Enormous let down. The coffee was bitter. The waitress was missing and uninterested in serving. Both meals we ordered were literally bad. The eggs Benedict had un-toasted English muffins that were saturated in curdled butter, certainly not hollandaise sauce. My husband's pancakes were... More

For me no visit to LBI is complete without a stop at the LBI Pancake House. This year my LBI visit may have been fairly short and late in the season but the Pancake House didn't disappoint. The staff is always so friendly. The cinnamon raisin French toast is outstanding. A spot not to be missed.

This is a very cute family restaurant. One of the unique things here is that they make their own orange juice, and you can see it being made in the middle of the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and good, even when they're busy and short staffed. My husband got the Belly Buster which is 3 eggs, meat, home... More

We've been going to LBI for about 30 years, and have made a tradition of having our last breakfast on the way out at the LBI Pancake House. It has always been good and reasonably priced breakfast. An extra nice features is right next door is the Pottery Barn store, where we often buy a coffee cup, calendar, or other... More

We've been coming to the island for over 20 years. Close enough that we come down in the off season frequently. We know the whole story with Sandy and Robert Irvine. And we always want to contribute back to small business as we are small business owners ourselves. But frankly this place is more of a photo op than a good... More

The pancakes are super good and moist and the waitress kelly was really nice and quick. The orange juice is made right there and is very tasty. Great place for breakfast!

Oh my, oh my...hate to admit it, but we ate there twice in 24 hours! The pancakes and eggs and the waffle the next day were delicious. It is a busy place and reservations for large groups would be appreciated, I am sure. We went on the day of the Annual LBI House Tour and they were not prepared for... More

Cant say enough good things about this place! We were there twice this week already. Fresh food, great portions, great value. Yes, you have to wait, but what should that tell you? Food is good!. Service always with a smile!

We were one of two tables late Saturday morning, three or four employees sat at a table on their phones as we waited to be greeted and served, very poor first impression. Cartoons played on the tv, great if you bring kids. I tried to make eye contact w/ someone, but they were glued to their phones....oh my gosh, someone... More
