I've eaten here several times, both in banquet and regular dinner service settings. The common thread is the superior wait staff and bar service. Although the wine list is quite thin for an upscale Italian restaurant, the bar always makes excellent cocktails. The food preparation can be spotty at times. Both meat and fish entrees are nicely plated and have... More

I give great importance to customer service,...the ambiance was great and the food was very good...they literally had a chef wait on you. You were never left with a empty glass..there was someone to fill your water glass rightaway. It is not an everyday restaurant but you can certainly go there for special occasion as it can get expensive. We... More

Arrive early in the evening for dinner. After valet parking my car (mandatory) i was told the only table available for me, a single diner, was a hi-top in the small bar area of the restaurant (despite there by very few diners in the regular seating area. I reluctantly stayed and ordered one of the "specials" for the evening and... More

I've been to Bareli's numerous times and the food and service has always been outstanding. The ambiance has certainly improved with the recent makeover. Highly recommend.

Bareli's in Secaucus drew me in like a magnet with it's elegant supper club vibe. Being the Prima Donna that I am, I knew I was in the right place from the immediate valet service, the warm welcome upon entering and the staff gracefully swarming our table pampering my mother and I like royalty, even though we were not really... I will review this place based on my overall experience, not on the last visit I had. Why? I came here several times on the weekend, but this time I decided to dine on Tuesday evening, thinking that I was going to have a nice-quiet romantic dinner with my husband. Turned out the place was PACKED with business people! The... More

Valet parking, nice greeting, and especially like a separate room for tables of two with BOTH people being able to face out rather that one face the wall. I HATE that! Nice warm decor with soft table candle light. Us & the couple next to us did not like when they turned the lights way down so with groans from... More

Have visited a few times since the early 2014 redesign. Food preparation was flawless, timing between courses was perfect. Menu variety is wide, from very good 'traditional' Italian dishes to high quality Fish, Steaks, Chops. No disappointments during our two dinners in the remodeled dining room or the night we stopped to have some apps and dessert at the bar... More

22/8/2014 My wife is from Secaucus and I must have passed Bareli's thousands of times yet never made it in for a meal. Then my wife's nephew got a job as sous chef in the kitchen... plus I've always heard the food was very good, so we finally made it after 21 years! I'm glad we did. Yes, we came... More
