Delicious, homemade food!

We are from Maryland, in NJ/NY for the holidays. We found Trattoria da Pino on TripAdvisor. We dined there last night, a Sunday evening. The owner is the chef and prepares the food himself. Therefore, be prepared for a 2 + hour dinner. It was worth the wait. The lasagna special was our favorite... read more

Food here is ok - not great. It is a little expensive for a BYOB. The kitchen is child size, so each dinner takes forever to come out. If you go, plan on being there for a while. And if you are with a big party, you are there for hours.

Ate dinner here on Saturday September 5th with 11 family members. We had a set of tables to ourselves and another group of 18 had the other side of the restaurant. The food seemed all made from scratch, shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious, especially the sauce, the mussels others ordered came in a plate of many, and the clams others... More

There are no words to describe the hospitality, food, service, and overall comfort of like being in your Nonna's house for Sunday dinner. The chef/owner Pino was amazing. He comes over to your table, asks what you would like to eat, prepares it all from scratch. We handed back the menus and said to him... Surprise us. Well, from the... More

My wife had a fabulous Osso Bucco , I ordered Linguini and Clam sauce . The menu clearly said "6 fresh clams" . I expected Red Sauce but it came with a watery white sauce and about 18 tiny sea clams . I asked Pino about the sauce and his response was defensive . I was very disappointed in our... More

The place is unassuming and it actually is very small but the ambience wasn't bad. I was greeted by a plate of Bruschetta and chose carbonara rigatoni which were great ! Maybe those were not made according to the original italian grandma recipe but nevertheless were very good and al dente. They do not serve alcool but there is a... More

We decided to try this restaurant because it was close to the hotel. What a find!! The place is very small but the staff is very friendly and can't do enough for you. We were told there is no liquor but we could go next door and buy beer or wine and bring it in. That didn't matter to us... More

We are here because of the great reviews. I love Italian food, especially homemade pasta. It is a little hole in the wall place, but even with only a few other tables of people it was deafeningly loud. My father had to put earplugs in. Everyone's voices just reverberate against the walls. You had to shout to hear each other... More

Great Italian food in an eclectic, fun setting. Owner decorated the place and it is a sight to behold (including the dolphins swimming on the ceiling. Pasta to die for. Warmest serving staff ever. BYOWine (you can buy a bottle down the street). We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time here.
