They are no longer in business. They sold the entire property to the State of New Jersey. Their location was right before the entrance to Island Beach State Park.

My wife and I were driving the New Jersey Shore from Sandy Hook South. At lunch we were looking for a place to eat the was above hot dogs and pizza. Just before we his the state Park at the south end of Seaside Park we spied the Berkley Fish Market. It filed the bill in spades. We both ordered... More

so sorry that they will be closing this place. It was a good bar alternative to the Bum Rogers down the street for a great bloody mary. So sorry to see this place close. It was not on the top of the Hit Parade since Chef Mike ABG is right across the street and Bums has clean up it act.

Although recommended highly by the owner of the house we were renting, this restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered a special that offered three different types of fish and when it came the fist was so overcooked it was hard to cut into. My kids enjoyed their meals, as did my wife. Likewise, the mixed drinks were... More

Really no use in writing a review as they are closing down permanently in September. Too bad. The food was really good. The drink specials were good. Had to wait about a half hour for dinner, but we got a nice table for five upstairs. This was the best dinner we had on our 5 day stay in Seaside.

Berkeley Restaurant and fish market in Seaside is the most DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTING place I have ever been to! We got tuna bites that looked boiled and had zero flavor! The seafood combination was absolutely horrible, no flavor and chewy and every bite of the crab cake had shell it!! My husband got seafood casserole which was inedible, seriously, was... More

We visited the Berkeley Fish Market last night with our 20-month old son. This was our second visit. Sit upstairs for a nice view overlooking the bay. The service was great. We had the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer - quite good. All entrees come with a choice of starter--salad or cole slaw - we had one of each, both... More

Enjoyed the fried Fisherman’s Combo and Grouper Fingers. Both came with french fries and cole slaw. All the fish was definitely fresh and had plenty of french fries. The only down-side was the cole slaw. It was lacking flavor but would recommend their takeout. It was a great value.

Very depressing to see carol and nick sell berkeley. Known them since they opened and a friend Eileen starting working there. Love them guys but understand when it's time to retire then enjoy your time together. All their seafood rocks. Nick and his lobster salad and fish sandwiches were always the best. Carol and the girls upstairs were always nice... More
