A Place to Celebrate!

For our 16th wedding anniversary we decided to go to The Saddle River Inn to celebrate. This was our first visit under the new management. We immediately missed the festive hanging garland that always gave it that romantic feel. The food was excellent although a bit pricey for the serving size... read more

So well worth the wait for a reservation. The food and service were exquisite. It is not expensive given the quality of the food and the experience. I definitely would return. I like a byob because I have allergies, and this way I know exactly what I am drinking. I have not had an experience like this in any restaurant,... More

We just finished dinner there, celebrating out children's 8th Anniversary. We were promptly seated, cordially greeted and sat down to an outstanding meal. There are very few restaurants that I would give a 5-star rating to but this one deserves it. The wait staff were among the most professional I have ever encountered. They were constantly filling water, filling wine... More

The staff, service, food, and ambience is perfection! If you have not been here yet, make sure to make a reservation through open table and visit this restaurant. Ask to be seated upstairs the view is gorgeous! Also, it is super great for date night as it is really wonderful for a romantic dinner!

We had dinner here with another couple on a week night. It wasn't too crowded and not noisy. The service is excellent. Scallops are wonderful. Chicken was really good. The special tuna tartare was just ok. Bread pudding was good but serving was way too small.

My wife and I have been to this very special BYO venue numerous times, be it under original ownership or since David Madison and Jamie Knott (both with major creds) took over in early 2013. (That said, please refer to my earlier review, 8/24/13.) Reservations still remain next to impossible, the place is packed every night. And perhaps therein lies... More

This is a fine dining restaurant housed in a charming farmhouse. BYO makes it a reasonable option, even if you are not celebrating a special occasion. I was initially disappointed that they were fully booked on Valentine's Day, but the day after was even better, as the room was full, but it was not frenetic the way most restaurants likely... More

I wish I can deliver a review but have been unable to get a reservation here for over a year. They tell you they only take reservations one month out and I call the day before one month out and they're already booked between 5:30 and 8:30 PM. When I ask (now three months in a row) how can that... More

We celebrated our Anniversary for the 4th year in a row at the Saddle River Inn. Since the new owners took over a couple of years ago and the food and service was a little off initially it has gotten back and is as good if not better than it ever was. It is one of the few restaurants that... More
