I'd have to say this was average. I ordered the shredded pork dinner and it was a bit bland- the black beans were bland as well. I do have to say that the desserts were very good. I didn't order one, but I tasted everyone else and I couldn't decide which was better between the caramel cheesecake, molten chocolate cake... More

I have visited this restaurant for lunch and dinner. Both times the food was amazing and service was friendly. They have an extensive loose leaf tea selection and I've started making my way through the oolong selection which so far has been excellent! Definitely our new favorite date night spot! Atmosphere is intimate and romantic.

We have been to Mambo Tea House several times this year and it seems to get better each time. We were there a few weeks ago for a Friday night dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. It is a BYOB - which we really appreciate. The first time we dined there, the owner was curious about the wine... More

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and the service was fine. The chorizo appetizer was very flavorful and the yucca fries were excellent, but the Cuban sandwich and Sausage sandwich were average. Overall, the food was tasty and fresh, but nothing special and the prices are a bit high. Regardless, not a bad option for a nice lunch, and they... More

I love Cuban food. I fortunately grew up in an area where Cuban food was easily available at a great price. My boyfriend, knowing my love for the ethnic cuisine, decided to take me here. Mambo is very interesting. It's not purely Cuban, but an Asian/Cuban fusion which sounds odd but works surprisingly well. Many of the items were Cuban... More

Ate at Mambo Tea Room last night. It was fabulous. Forget about the wait at Cuban Pete's out in Montclair, this place is even better. I had the chicken/chorizo rice dish. Flavors were perfect. Passion fruit mohito was spot on. Don't forget to bring your own rum or wine! For dessert- coconut flan- perfect. The empanadas were very basic and... More

Once inside this cozy restaurant, it's easy to completely forget where you are as it envelopes you completely in comfy couches, tropical decor and Latin classics in the air, all making you feel like you are in a little Spanish city restaurant. The food was really good and I'm in love with their churasco!

We held a dinner for 20 people here and the service was outstanding. The food was very good. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Since it was a large party we were able to set the menu prior with one of their party packages. We had empanadas and mussels in garlic sauce for appetizers, a choice of ropa vieja, the Mayan chicken, or... More
