At Mambo Tea House, we offer authentic Cuban cuisine and Asian teas in a beautiful and cozy setting. The merge of two cultures is a direct reflection of the co-owners. The husband and wife team are from the Caribbean and Hong Kong, respectively. Come in for some delicious cuisine and friendly service! We are a BYOB!

Good food, friendly employees

Went for lunch today (Thursday.) The hostess was very friendly and seated us in the back (we had a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old.) There were many delicious options on the menu and I chose a sandwich of ham and sweet plantains with Yuca fries - soooooo delicious. There were a number of tables filled, but... read more

Party of 10 for a birthday dinner reserved for 8pm. Was told the kitchen closed at 9pm and to try to get there early. Unfortunately we couldn't do that and arrived a little after 8.Found out the hard way that they are not flexible with their time. We felt rushed from the minute we got here; a couple of our... More

My family and I dined at the Mambo Tea House to celebrate our daughter's 22nd birthday (we had not been to this establishment before, this was our first time). The restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated (it's narrow but goes back, plenty of seating - you can sit in their entrance way they set up tables). Reservations for 3... More

My husband and I went for dinner to the Mambo Tea House And liked the food. The portions are not as generous as other restaurants, but it was plenty anyway. My stepson and his girlfriend were with us and they liked the food as well.

I went to dinner with my family and was impressed by the ambiance of the restaurant as we enteted it was a small quaint setting. So that was a good start. As we got closer to our table the noise in the room was unbearable, I couldn't hear anyone talking at our table due to the other guest at other... More

My wife and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. We miss Cuban food since we left Miami and have not found any that is as good in New Jersey. We walked in and were seated almost immediately. The restaurant has great casual decor and was playing Cuban music. The server was very attentive to our needs. My wife... More

I'd have to say this was average. I ordered the shredded pork dinner and it was a bit bland- the black beans were bland as well. I do have to say that the desserts were very good. I didn't order one, but I tasted everyone else and I couldn't decide which was better between the caramel cheesecake, molten chocolate cake... More

I have visited this restaurant for lunch and dinner. Both times the food was amazing and service was friendly. They have an extensive loose leaf tea selection and I've started making my way through the oolong selection which so far has been excellent! Definitely our new favorite date night spot! Atmosphere is intimate and romantic.

We have been to Mambo Tea House several times this year and it seems to get better each time. We were there a few weeks ago for a Friday night dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. It is a BYOB - which we really appreciate. The first time we dined there, the owner was curious about the wine... More

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and the service was fine. The chorizo appetizer was very flavorful and the yucca fries were excellent, but the Cuban sandwich and Sausage sandwich were average. Overall, the food was tasty and fresh, but nothing special and the prices are a bit high. Regardless, not a bad option for a nice lunch, and they... More
