After hearing quite a few people rave about Nicholas we decided to treat ourselves for the holidays and try it for ourselves. We had a later reservation time, but decided due to hunger we wanted to eat earlier and our request was met with no issues. We were greeted immediately upon entry and shown our table by a friendly hostess.... More

Once again, Nicholas lives up to the reputation it has built. We all did the tasting menu, and it was wonderful. The wines they paired with each course were delightful, and the food was spectacular. The service is always just perfect, and this time the star was Shelby. Our waiter was awesome, but some people have that special something that... More

And... it is in our back yard. No need to drive far. We always do the 5 course meal with the wine pairing. It is so worth the price. The food has many different flavors and the wine they choose is amazing. The service is also excellent. There is nothing even remotely bad that I could say about this place.... More

At the age of 17, Nicholas Harary was enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America and was its youngest graduate. At 23, after immersing himself in the study of wine while working at a restaurant in Sand Diego, he became the youngest head sommelier at the renowned restaurant Jean-George in Manhattan. In the meantime, he had met and married Melissa,... More

In my fairly wide experience, Nicholas is the finest restaurant in New Jersey, and one of the finest in the United States. Seriously. This is innovative, generally brilliant cuisine: fresh ingredients, beautiful platings; interesting flavor combinations. The tasting menu with wine pairings is "expensive" (>$125) but worth the price and the time to enjoy it - allow a couple of... More

My wonderful sons treated me to a birthday dinner - and we began with perfect martinis in the separate bar. For dinner - the tasting menu (with the wine pairings) was everyone's choice. Each small course was delivered with elegant precision - and we each focused on savoring the food. The wines complemented nicely. Pacing was good - but sometimes... More

For several years now this is my go-to restaurant for special occasions. If we want to go local, without venturing out to New York City, Nicholas is the place. The restaurant features a creative pre-fix menu fit for foodies. Everything is always delicious, well prepared, and served with perfect precision. A top notch New York City restaurant in Central New... More
