From the time you enter the beautiful landscaped and flowered entrance of “Nicholas” to the gorgeous fresh flowers on every table (They were yellow orchids the night we were there) you will find every aspect of your meals here to be elegant, unique and fun. They have valet parking which is crisp and efficient to give you easy access to... More

We had gone to see Wendy Wasserstein's "Third" in Red Bank for Father's Day and then went to dinner at Nicholas. We have been to most of the best restaurants in New Jersey, but had never been to Nicholas before. It did not disappoint. The venue is not fancy but it is functional. The food, however is exquisite and creative.... More

I was fortunate to receive a gift certificate to this restaurant so my husband and I asked our good friends to come with us. Having never been there before we had no idea what to expect. When the dress code says "business casual, jackets preferred" the men dressed accordingly. They weren't too happy when they saw someone walk in and... More

If there's anything I can't stand is going out and paying up for mediocrity. NOT a problem with Nicholas. I rank this up there with a NYC restaurant. Food is always excellent, the service is spot-on. I also had never written a review, after coming here for years. When foodie friends visit us, we always bring them here.

Everything was perfect, the food, waitstaff, presentation, abience, couldnt have gotten any better . Would highly recommend dinner here. Our waiter Mark was awesome, knowledgible, professional, went out of his way to please. We did the tasting menu and the food was suberb. It was our anniversary and it was noted during the meal. We regularly eat at the Pluckemin... More

After another amazing, magnificent experience at Nicholas, I realized that I had never written a review! We have been going to Nicholas since they opened in 2000 and have watched Nicholas and Melissa continually improve and redefine the modern, fine dining experience. They expertly raise the bar through their changing menus, decor, and service. The food is top notch, hence... More

We went here for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. Jeans were acceptable but we felt underdressed. Next time we'll wear sports coats. Like other reviewers stated the service is impeccable. Excellent selection with the wine, drinks, and items from the three-course menu. We had quail, scallops, halibut, and swordfish. All items were very delicious. The breads that were... More

Nicholas is not a regular haunt. We have heard about it and wanted to give it a try. We did an early booking on a weekday night. The service was attentive and capable. All the dishes served were very good as were the drinks. For a very special evening out where money is no object this is a pleasant place... More

Until a few days ago, my last visit to Nicholas was three years ago. I always ate at the bar, where you could order small plates from the regular menu, allowing you to try dishes without committing to the full scale menu. Service was better at the bar as well, more personable. Since then, the dining room took on a... More
