PREFER THE BAR OVER THE DINING ROOM

We have been going to Nicholas since it opened over 14 years ago. We have seen the restaurant evolve, nicely. The food has always been excellent and the service top notch. When it first opened, they only served food in the main dining room. They have either a 3 course of 5 course prix fixe which... read more

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner last week at Nicholas, for our anniversary. We had never been there before, but were told it was wonderful. The lights are low and tables are nicely spaced so that there is some privacy. The decorating, though minimalist, is very pleasing. The best part of all of this, is the delicious food!... More

Service, Ambiance and food all superior. this has been a favorite of ours since it opened it's doors way back. If you ever get the chance to eat downstairs at the Chef's table for a special occasion, Nicholas, Melissa and staff make you feel like royalty.

Ate here recently on a midweek evening on a very cold night. Restaurant was sparsely populated with dining patrons. We ordered a bottle of white wine from France. Server poured the wine which was only barely chilled. Would have expected a restaurant with such a distinguished reputation for fine wines to have better prepared their servers regarding proper temperature for... More

My boyfriend had taken me to Nicholas for Valentines Day and it was perfect. The ambience was perfect for an intimate date night, tables were not too packed together and the wine list was endless. The food was delicious but for the prefixed menu it may not be enough for a grown man (luckily they offered unlimited bread, which could... More

After reading the reviews I couldn't wait to try Nicholas. I was solo on business so I sat at the bar, decent atmosphere. I had oysters for an appetizer, they were ordinary. I ordered the lamb and it was good. That's it. Just good. I was hoping to have my socks knocked off, but that didn't happen. A martini, a... More

let me start by saying the wait staff service is unbelievable once seated. When I made reservation, i said I had a blind person with me and needed a table that wasn't too narrow with too narrow a space, and i was assured this would not happen. they did give us an adequate size table but what they did instead... We went for my birthday. There were a lot of birthday celebrations there that night This place is not for the faint of wallet but you should know that going in. This is a moneyed crowd. We are not moneyed people. However at no time does the staff ever make you feel like you are different than anyone else. The... More

One of the finest dining experiences in this area. Clearly high-end, so don't go searching for coupons. The restaurant, the staff, and the overall experience is fine dining. Valet parking, as you pull in to the lot entrance. Hostesses are friendly and polite - just what you want on entering for a lovely dining experience. Our server was a bit... More
