ALWAYS AMAZING

Consistent delicious food. Bar menu and the bar itself is a great place to dine if you don't sit in main dining rooms. The menu is still terrific. Nicholas himself is a great host. You cannot go wrong here whatsoever. The Dover sole was mouth watering.

We went for the special Black Truffle menu - a $135 5-course meal. I have to say that while you could see slices of items resembling black truffles, the flavor just wasn't there. It was quite disappointing. A couple of people did opt for the 3 course Early Winter menu which was $70. This didn't really work well when paired... More

Went there last night for my g/f's birthday. Service was excellent...no, extraordinary!! We ate from the $70.00 price fixe menu. Yes, expensive, but worth it. Food was superb. They even asked us, beforehand, if either of us had food allergies. When I made the reservation, I told them we were coming for the birthday...and the restaurant was prepared. I would... More

Came with the wife for Vday, definitely high class food. One of few places to try some Foie Gras. Menu has a good variety, so there is something for (almost) anyone. Place is not cheap, but then there aren't many places cooking like this nearby. Only complaint would be the overall atmosphere could use a refresher. Good place for a... More

All the reviews are spot on about the ambiance, wine list, menu & quality of the food. However in a restaurant we also require a feeling of hospitality, warmth & friendliness. This, to us adds to the experience of fine dining. We personally felt a sense of haughtiness & pretentious in the greeting & service staff. Hope they can monitor... More

Dinner for 5 at "Nicholas" on the Jersey Shore, Thanksgiving Eve. Great experience from the get go! Friendly valet parking, front desk welcome by owner, Nicholas. Ambience +++ created by the colorful dining room decor, enhanced by creative modern lighting! Obviously, management's taste, which was also reflected in the menu. Nicholas introduced us to his head of the Wait Staff,... More

This magnificent fine dining establishment has it all. They have great food, excellent white glove type service that is unobtrusive and great facilities to dine in. Beyond being one of the constantly top restaurants in the country, their best asset is the staff\people you meet inside. From the front desk to the wait staff everybody goes out of their way... I may be alone in my view, but I really don't see what all the fuss is about Nicholas. The owner is extremely pleasant and welcoming, as his his wife. Some of the food, such as the fois grois, is excellent. The portions are tiny, and the prices are extremely steep. Definitely worth a try if you've never been, but... More

Every dish was a uniquely creative and delicious combination of ingredients-Superb and Delicious! Service was first class- accommodating, attentive but not obtrusive.
