We stopped by the Horizon Diner on a recent trip through NJ. We had brunch and were very impressed by the efficient service we experienced. Seemed we had 2 nice steaming cups of coffee on the table as soon as we sat down! Our brunch dishes arrived very quickly after ordering. I loved the mushroom-mozzarella omelet, served with delicious home... More

Had the chefs salad. Was very good but bill was 12.80 plus the tip. I had water so if I had ordered a drink I would have ended up paying almost 17 bucks for a chef salad and a drink. That's almost high end dining prices, and as I said, its just a salad.

If you like breakfast and especially home fries like I do, this is a great place. Order them really well done and you'll be really pleased. Coffee and everything else is good too, prices are reasonable and the staff is competent and friendly. NJ diners, you gotta love this stuff.

We stopped here purely from passing and so glad we did. We had a huge breakfast which was all perfectly cooked, very tasty, and lovely people to greet and serve. The breakfast was less than half the price of what we were paying in Manhattan and for twice as much. The coffee was very good too and I am a... More

In the 70's and 80's the Horizon Diner was the place to go for diner food in the Ramsey area. We decided to revisit it last Friday night. If we weren't so hungry we would have walked out! It was nearly empty for a Friday night. The decor is very dated. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest. Our waitress was not... More

Hair in our food for the 3rd time since we've been going there. And to top it off this time, there was lipstick on the glasses- and I'm talking as if it hadn't even been touched to clean. Disgusting. My parents have been taking me there since I was a kid but I will never go back. Dirty and in... More

Staff was accommodating and friendly. Great service and prices! Clean restrooms. If we are ever in the area again we'll be back.

Went there recently with kids for dinner. Very old feel, from the salad bar with the not so fresh looking veggies, to the bathroom with the hole in the ceiling. Ordered sliders kids meal for my daughter, they basically took a hamburger and cut it in half! Actually, thats exactly what they did. Waitress very nice and told me how... More

The diner is clean enough, but the staff is busy talking to each other so don't bother on a work day as it could take ten minutes for someone to ask for your order. The clients are a bit rude as there is alwys some borish person shouting on their cell phone so distracting that you can not read a... More

Had the soup/salad/sandwich combo. It was a great price with attentive service. The 1980s decor could be updated but its a good place for ppl watching their budget or older people.
