Top pick of students

Hoagie Haven is just what it sounds like. They make excellent hoagies (or "grinders if you are from Philly) of a great variety. The place is usually crowded with students but the line moves quickly. Princeton students in the class of 2008 were so enamored of the place that they voted to make... read more

My wife found this place on Urban Spoon, we walked down Nassau St and found it had a line almost out the door. We waited our turn and I'm glad we did. Home baked bread was amazing, steak and sauce drizzled were out of this world. Best I've had. Prices were reasonable and the choices plentiful. Highly recommend stopping here... More

Great place. Good food with great prices. Super friendly staff. Not a lot of seating inside but there are benches outside the door. They let me borrow electric to charge my phone. If my son decides to attend Princeton, we will definitely be back!

Hoagie Haven is the ultimate college and NJ sandwich shop for subs/hoagies. Princeton students love it and it's a great lunch stop for anyone. The hoagies are big are prices far less than I see anywhere else in NJ for the same size of hoagie. It's very bare bones with virtually no seating area, but on a good day, you... More

Maybe I'm getting old and maybe I've gotten healthy, but I do know when food is prepared with care and a little bit of creativity, when ingredients are fresh and of superior quality--and few, if any of these things are true of Hoagie Haven. The truth is I want to like this place, but I can't. My students live for... More

I grew up outside of Philadelphia eating really good hoagies. I was rather disappointed with this "hoagie". It's not a bad sub sandwich place but no hoagie.

Have been going here for over 30 years. Not too often anymore since a live too far away. This place still has delicious sandwiches. It's a good thing I don't live close by.

Yes please. I've never been sober, but I've never had a bad hoagie here either. I go several times a year when back for games. Love it!

I've heard so much about how great this place was, but I guess you need to be drunk to appreciate it. I'm sure the college crowd loves this place, but it's no place to stop for a quick meal with the family (and it was probably never intended to be that way). Although their bread is great, the subs are... More

Ok, I haven't had everything in HH but I'm a cheese steak fan and I was eager to compare to Pat's in Philly. Did not expect high quality but the hoagie was delicious. I would recommend the cheese steak with grilled onions, American cheese and ketchup. May sound a bit primitive, but simple and perfect when hungry. If you have... More
