Main Street and Clocktower Cabana

I've eaten here a number of times over the years and food is reliably good. Recently we ate at the outdoor patio - the Clocktower Cabana - a couple of times and both evenings had a great time. The pulled pork taquito appetizers are definitely worth ordering - we both enjoyed these a lot, and would... read more

Main Street Bistro is open Christmas Eve and we visit after seeing the Christmas Carol at McCarter Theatre. The holiday festivities and ambience at this restaurant are a special treat. Food choices were sea bass, pasta boulanais, and meat loaf. None of these dishes were specials for the evening but each serving was appreciated by the diner. Service was very... More

We've eaten here maybe four times now. We don't get here too often because its a bit out of the way for us. Our only complaint is once in summer the air conditioning was too cold for our liking. I started off with a Manhattan (house has a full and well-stocked bar). Well done. Tonight, I had Wiener Schnitzel Ryan... More

I go here 2~3 times a year, usually for special occasions, as we don't splurge as much as we used to. I don't think I have ever been disappointed as the food is always good (menu changes regularly) and the service is excellent. I would never hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I ate lunch here recently. We live in the Princeton area and have eaten here before. We both had corn chowder. My wife had regular chili and I had vegetarian chili. The chili was very good as usual. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch for anyone visiting Princeton or living in the Princeton area. The food,... More

This was a nice find. There is outdoor seating but it's in a strip mall so not the location was not what I expected. The food was very good tho, as was the service.

The reason this is rated an average is that the staff let me sit for 20 minutes before even giving me a menu... Then were back multiple times "checking in" but forgot to add a friend's appetizer in the kitchen's line up.... The one redeeming factor was the outdoor seating.

We got lucky and arrived on a beautiful day. We sat under an umbrella on the spacious outdoor patio in the rear of the restaurant. The service was good. We ordered a margarita, mussels in broth with French baguette, fresh spinach sauteed in garlic. All of this was delicious. However, a separate feta cheese salad was grossly disappointing. We should... More

Have been visiting this restaurant for many years and can't remember ever being disappointed. The menu changes monthly, so there's always something new to try. My most recent visit I tried the chicken pot pie and it was savory with a delicious light pastry top. The soups are always terrific. Just a nice place for lunch.
