Went with party of 4. Waiters, service ok but not trully welcoming. Interior mediocre, non waw factor, eg cheap diner style. Food average & overpriced. Had risotto with fish (catch of day). Risotto was cooked nicely but under seasoned and lacking smoothness (lacking butter or olive oil) fish overcooked, eg dry. Starters, calamari nicely done, excellent tomato sauce. Grilled black... This was my second time at Mezzaluna's restaurant and again it was great! As an Italian in the US, always looking forward real italian food, this place had surprised me since first. If you want to eat here, make a reservation because it's always full. The only two things to say are the people who works here are nice, organized... More

This cool little restaurant would be easy to miss on busy Witherspoon Street, but by all means give it a try. It's a BYOB (liquor store next door in case you forgot) and the decor is modern minimalist, which I like. The service is expert and friendly (thank you, Emily!) and the food is delicious. The portions are not diner... More

We live in Princeton but hadn't been to Mezzaluna for too long so decided to go to celebrate our anniversary - and so glad we did. It's BYOB which we did - for visitors, there is a liquor store next door and others not too far away. We started with wonderful salads - the greens seemingly just picked - crisp... More

We had an early dinner (6:30) on a Sunday night. We eat in a lot of Princeton and Philadelphia restaurants and in our opinion this is one of the best and most underrated. The server was warm and charming. We had the organic salad, a special eggplant appetizer, gnocchi in pesto sauce with sundried tomatoes and sausage, and the hazelnut... More

I had always passed this little place but a few diners were outside who just ate hear and said it was great. Decided to try and was very pleased. Staff was very friendly and service was also very good. Salad and our pasta entrees were exceptional. Will definitely go back.

Hardly an empty table on Saturday night. The menu salad that was shared was questionably Italian, greens with cantaloupe and Gouda cheese. Though there was creativity and taste in the Fish Special, the Papperdelle and Wild Boar was almost inedible. The pasta was not the traditional wide cut and the meat was presented in chucks around the outside of the... More

I ate here recently for a rehearsal dinner, and the only thing that kept me from leaving was the company of friends and family. Dinner was scheduled for 6pm. Obviously guest trickle in, so you don't expect to eat your meal right away. However, some appetizers and or bread on the table would have been nice. Appetizers we were told... More

I had lunch here last week. I had a grilled steak sandwich which was good. I would've liked if they had cut the steak in smaller pieces. Liked the French fries! My friends had garlic spaghetti with clams and the rissotto. They both loved it. Great service, crappy ginger ale

I had not visited Mezzaluna since their interior redesign. The restaurant is completely transformed and a far cry from the dark italian abode it once was. The service, as always, is excellent, the wait staff highly competent, attentive and friendly. Our food was also wonderful, came out quickly and delighted. Do not miss the opportunity to dine in this reimagined... More
