Amazing quality food and very generous portions!

We just had a fantastic meal at Tortuga's Mexican Village. A four course meal for three people (two adults and a toddler) totaling $70 with leftovers, which we think is very reasonable considering the size and quality of the food. The complimentary chips and salsa were brilliant, very fresh... read more

This cozy BYOB has a small parking lot behind the restaurant. It's in a residential neighborhood, about a mile from 'downtown' Princeton. We split everything, since the portions are fairly large. The service was fine and even though the restaurant was crowded, our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Loved our nachos (which had plenty of cheese), burritos... More

This is a BYOB restaurant which is a home, having limited number of tables that are turned over very quickly by a hard working staff. The food is good and the crowd gets busy, which is awkward if you are seated on the lower floor and people start gathering in a crowd around your table...waiting to be seated. Cash only.

Very good authentic Mexican food. Went here when visiting family and am so glad that I did. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Authentic home cooked Mexican food. The guacamole is fresh and plentiful. My mom got the California burrito and felt like it was a Mexican lasagna with beef. I got the flautas de haurnitas and they were delicious along with their black beans and rice. This place is BYOB. Warm atmosphere with attentive staff. The best part of the whole experience...... If you are hungry, this is the place to go because their portions are enormous and very reasonably priced. The food is OK but we found it a bit heavy. The menu is extensive and reasonably authentic. It is a good place to go with a group of people and the staff is always pleasant.

Probably one of the best I've had. Non chain. Authentic options. Very fresh and delicious. The salsa was really great! Not much for parking and no where to wait. It is positioned in a neighborhood so it is a little odd to find it there but it is worth it!

Very authentic Mexican food. Restaurant is located near the old Princeton Hospital (Witherspoon) on Leigh St. This place has it's following through word of mouth, and is usually buzzing with diners. Food and service is always good. I've been eating at Tortuga for about 26 years. They do not take credit card. and you can not get lunch after 2... More

Always appreciate this place more when ever I try another Mexican restaurant. Love the cold avacado soup.I always add a spoonful of their fabulous salsa. The steak and shrimp fajitas couldn't be better. The shrimp are gigantic and always have good flavor. My wife often makes her choice from the large vegetarian options.Portions are large and are accompanied by refried beans or black... I love Tortugas in Princeton. They are amazing guac, fajitas and other Mexican dishes. We've been coming here for years and it is always a treat! It is BYOB and cash only (no checks anymore) but they have added an ATM. Definitely worth a visit!
