We ate here a few times and have not been disappointed. We love oysters and here they have a sauce called "minuette" which is composed of red wine vinegar, honey and shallots. It is wonderful. My wife had the octopus a la portugaise and it was excellent. The best was probably the halibut. The manager Steve is very friendly and... More

We have eaten at the Blue Point Grill more times than I can remember, it is not perfect (where is?) but it is in my opinion far and away the best overall restaurant in Princeton. The fish and seafood is all fresh, well selected and perfectly cooked. The preparation is simple and well executed. No real claims to culinary originality... More

We last dined at BPG on Friday, July 11. My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for at least a dozen years, since we often go to Princeton for theater, men's basketball, or to enjoy the historic downtown. This unique restaurant has remained an absolute standout for that entire time, a testament to its superb staff and... More

Simply grilled Portuguese octopus was better than what we have had in the Algarve. Grilled sea base and salmon combo entree was light and the best. Service was fun and professional. BYOB allows you to bring a nice expensive bottle of wine from home instead of paying the high restaurant prices. That way you can spend on great food and... More

My wife and I had dinner with 4 friends before Princeton Reunions. The food was excellent, and the service quite attentive. It was a bit noisy for a few of us who don't hear as well as we usedd to. Overall, however, very good seafood -- and this from a New Englander!

Visit Blue Point several times a year when friends insist on meeting there. Quality is almost always very good. HOWEVER - extremely overpriced for quantity. Usually at least 1/3 to 50% of what you pay at other seafood restaurants that offer fresh (not frozen) seafood. The menu does not tell you how the fish is prepared which is also annoying.... More

Expected more for the price. The $3 oysters were too salty with brine...definitely ruined the taste. Dinner (appetizers and salad, but no dessert) ran $50 a person. And it's BYOB. The level of noise inside makes converation almost impossible, even with the person next to you. Tables are very close to one another. The food is generally tasty and creatively... More

There were 6 of us on a Sunday evening with reservations at 630. Parking was very challenging. We were seated immediately. Staff was very pleasant. Bathrooms small but very clean. I had edamame dumplings to start - fresh and light, really wonderful. My grilled scallops were perfectly cooked with a light, flavorful sear. Asparagus side was cooked perfectly as well.... More
