Ordered a birthday cake from them in January 2015. I gave the order over the phone and they required that I also email the order too. I sent them the photo for the edible image as well. I asked that the cake be made up of 50 cupcakes. Total cost came to $150. When we got to the party I... More

Ok the apple pie was average in my opinion, but I had a cupcake and I can't remember which one but it was AMAZING!!!!!! The icing, the yellow cake, it had cookie dough in the middle, it really was the best cupcake I have ever had. Service was great, place was really cute. Will return

Even small cafés in rural Pennsylvania offer gluten free baked goods but not The House of Cupcakes? A true test of a baker for certain is to master a GF cupcake

The House of Cupcakes is riding the cupcake craze seen all over the food channels. They won one of those TV contests and that has made them a local point of interest in Princeton. The cupcakes are really quite good, both presenting unique combinations and everyday favorites. They are pricey for each cupcake, but at least you won't eat too... More

Their cupcakes are fantastic and taste heavenly. We've been comparing different cupcakes from all around new jersey and these are definitely the best. Not overpriced, balanced taste and there's extremely friendly staff. This place feels just great so if you ever happen to be in Princeton, treat yourself to one ... or two ... or twenty of these delicious cupcakes... More

Small cakes, lots of icing. Actually it should be renamed house of icing. Expensive for a cupcake. Really nothing special.

A crescendo of pleasure for the palate, starting (personally) with a "Chocolate cream filled", which was average, then moving to a "Black forest", which was a delicious and unusual surprise, and topping with a "Chocolate rage", which is a symphony of chocolate! The dough is fluffy enough without being too soft. The eye is not left out, as you have... More

So I finally went back to HOC since they reopened. On my last visit (in the old location) I found the cupcakes to be average. I had a mint icing/chocolate cake cupcake and a chocolate icing/vanilla cake cupcake. I will say that the mint was tasty. I was disappointed in the chocolate icing on the other one. It tastes exactly... More

I'm a sucker for a "fancy" cupcake. The creations at House of Cupcakes do not disappoint. I've tried a few, but I think my favorite might be the cookie dough! It is just so delicious to have a glob of cookie dough baked in the middle of a cupcake! The prices are pretty decent too, very comparable to what other... More

Lots of flavors, often changing. A little pricey, but it is Princeton. Overall, good value. Worth a visit. Closed for renovations as of June, 2014. Should be open soon in a larger location next door to the original location on Witherspoon street.
