The atmosphere here is lovely, and the food is good but not great. However, this restaurant certainly cannot be considered customer-friendly. If you go with a group beware. You could have a group of 20 and they will refuse to give you more than one check. They also refuse to accept more than 2 credit cards. It's just not worth... More

We had two great meals and Paul was wonderful. Honest in his appraisals. Tons of food, seriously the most food I've been served in a long while. Walnut salad was pefect and my steak was cooked to perfection. Drinks were big and delicious.

Before doing some Sunday shopping in Princeton, we wanted to have lunch. Didn't even recognize the name, so had no idea how long it was since the place changed hands. The interior was quite stunning. Plenty of very elegant dark woods throughout, with a contemporary appearance. I ordered Eggs Benedict from the Sunday brunch card and my wife ordered the... More

Tony knows the restaurant business that's for sure. When was the last time you wee at a good restaurant that was a free standing building, not in a strip mall? Metro North is such a place and it has exceptionally good food and fair prices. The drinks coming out of the bar are top notch. Salads are varied and tasty... More

Several owners have tried and failed at this bistro by the canal. I'm so happy Metro North has figured it out. The food is fresh and prepared perfectly every time. If you haven't tried the special fish and pasta Francaise yet, you'll be hooked. I like BYOB restaurents, but Metro North's bartenders make interesting cocktails. I just tried the "cauldron... More

I met a friend for a week night dinner at 530 to make a 730 show, and the attractive dining room was relatively quiet. The host accommodated our request for a table that was a bit private; much of their seating places parties very close to each other, practically sharing a table. The server was helpful at first, but she... More

Close to the businesses and hotels in the Carnegie Center area, I saw that Metro North had salmon on the menu so I decided to give it a try. The menu has several seafood items that I will try on the next trip here. The salmon was delicious with spinach. The bread is rustic and also very good. The bartender... More

Toughest part of dining at Metro was getting the traffic to stop while crossing the road from Turning Basin Park. After that it was all perfect -- nice greeting, seating outside, libations followed by bread and olive oil and water and then entrees of our choice -- penne on one side and excellent salmon on the other. Service was excellent... More

Join a wedding party at the metro and must admit, I didn't have my hopes upon driving into the parking lot. What a great surprise! Service us excellent but not intrusive in the least. Lovely staff was always nearby and ready to take care of us. The food was outstanding, using wonderfully fresh ingredients. Our entire party was wowed by... More

Nice place with solid and not fancy food--spaghetti, burgers, chicken, etc. Never disappointed. Atmosphere is pleasant and friendly.
