Every now and then, a restaurant surprises you and that was the case with the Peacock Inn. Not that we expected mediocrity. The restaurant is located in a lovely, up market B&B on one of Princeton's loveliest residential streets. But the decor is a bit "drab" and the brown/beige color palette suggests more of a 1980s, mid-level corporate hotel environment,... More

This is our first time at this restaurant and we enjoyed our food (brunch) very much. Everyone in our family of five said that the food was served hot and tasted fresh and delicious. It was a 2 course, fixed price menu for $32, a bit pricey though for the amount of portions served. We ordered the potato pancakes, french... More

We dined there for Valentine's Day as my husband made the reservations. It was a set menu for $95 a person which I thought was rather on the pricey side. It was a four course meal which you had to order all the courses including the dessert when you placed your order. My husband enjoyed his tuna tartare and I... More

A special place in the heart of Princeton. We have not been able to stay at the Inn as yet but it is on our list of things to do. We have had several great meals, including a birthday dinner in the private party room on the lower level and Valentine's day brunch. The atmosphere is pleasing and interesting with... More

Thank you for your fantastic review of The Peacock Inn restaurant. It is great to hear about all of your times at The Peacock Inn in different capacities. Peacock Alley, the downstairs room where you attended a party, was a speakeasy during prohibition in the 1920s. It is an incredible room with so much history! We look forward to welcoming... More

The new owners have taken this lovely old Victorian in Princeton and restored it by keeping the vintage charm but with some clean, modern touches. The inn is just beautiful. A lovely romantic spot, and the food and service live up to the setting. Dishes have a unique flair, and are expertly prepared. Definitely worth a visit.

No tables available, so we ate dinner at the bar, which was actually fine because the ambiance was very pleasant. The service from the bartender was exceptional. Butternut squash soup was incredibly delicious. Very fresh tasting, the best I've ever had. My partner had a lobster entree which was also delicious. I had duck with kale. The duck was very... More

I had dinner at The Peacock Inn with colleagues, and it was definetly one of the best meals I have had in some time. We started with a few drinks at the cozy yet well equiped bar, then sat for the wonderful meal. The Rcotta Gnocchi was amazing and we even ordered it as an appetizer to split amongst us.... More

The Peacock Inn is definitely “a bird in hand.” Once you have visited this Inn is there any other reason to search for another upscale restaurant in the Princeton area? Maybe, but others of equal ambiance, quality of food and personal service will be difficult to find. However, do expect to pay at the $$$ level. A family visit in... More

This review is for the Sunday brunch only. Don't order the $12 supplemental "pastry basket." It was a pumpkin bread, corn muffin and possibly a pound cake with a vat of apple butter (didn't try, wound up sending it back). Pumpkin bread was overly sweet, shop-rite bakery quality. Corn muffin was dry and grainy. No way was each pastry worth... More
