This is an iconic place in Princeton. It's so interesting. I could stare at the prestigious Princeton grad portraits on the wall for hours. But the food and the service are lacking, especially the service. When we were there for lunch again last weekend (it's across the street and my kids love it), the place was empty. We were literally... More

Located in a sort of basement in the Nassau Inn, graced with an amazing original wall mural by Norman Rockwell actually done on that very wall, any visitor to Princeton must come to this place, either for a drink at the congenial bar or a full meal. There are old wooden booths, elaborately carved with the initials of generations of... More

Knowledgable barkeeper suggesting the beers they have on tap. I rarely eat steak and I was not disappointed. Good place to relax after a day of travel!

This place has a real historic atmosphere and exudes Princeton Uni - photos of alumni, sports stars make it a place for the graduates who have never really left. Lovely log fire in winter. Great as a bar but pretty average as a restaurant.

The first night of my stay, the bartender gave me great service. The next morning, breakfast took more than 15 minutes to come out. One night after dinner, I ordered wine and a cheese plate to go up to my room and continue working. All two servers AND the bartender asked me individually TWICE what I was waiting for. It... More

Food is good and reasonable. Very impressive wall with pictures of the historic people who have graduated from Princeton. Great place both for a date as well as a family gathering

The decor, atmosphere, and menu of this restaurant appealed as a place to purchase a $200.00 gift card for my seminary student son and his wife. The restaurant's website advertised the opportunity to purchase gift cards by placing a toll free call to the establishment-no shipping charges for sending the cards to the recipient! My call from an out of... More

my boyfriend and I ate twice here for lunch and it was fine. we had dinner for the first time and we were disappointed. he ordered the short ribs, ($25) and when they brought it out, I was as shocked as he was. the portion size was miniscule ... I mean really miniscule. We couldn't believe it. My apple, cransains... More

A charming little pub located in the Nassau Inn. The cheeseburger had a wonderful flavor and my wife's curry was pretty good. The side dish of mac n cheese was abundant but devoid of flavor. They have a nice variety of draft beers and the service was adequate. I think its worth a visit.

On Oct. 17, two of us went to the Tap Room for a light dinner. The establishment was not busy. As we were being shown to our booth, a mouse who was already dining there scurried off into the wall, apparently disturbed by our presence. The hostess smiled and suggested that we might prefer a table. Since my companion had... More
