Great atmosphere

A great place for a family meal. No matter how much noise and mess your kids make, there is always a group on another table making more. We went with someone with very specific dietary requirements. The owner allowed us to bring a small frozen pizza for him and they heated it for us. Now that... read more

I've eaten Conte's pizza a few years ago and loved it. Visited a few days ago with friends and this time it was awful! Everyone in my group said the pizza had NO flavor, the crust was thick and tasteless. We all came to conclusion that it tasted exactly like frozen pizza. I'm not sure where the great recents reviews... More

1960's dark dank bar houses Princeton staple for pizza. Families make it a stop after the little league game. There is a good standard pizza, variety of toppings limited. Service is decent, but not always with a smile,as it certainly seems most of wait staff has been there centuries (not by age, but attitude). Last visit, the less than quaint... More

i have been there many times and thought service was avg. Then I started Ordering takeout- voilà it has been great pizza without the disappointment of service. It is understandable because they make the best pizza and always busy. So forget the expectations with the aervice and enjoy great Pizza.

My husband and I went to Conte's for pizza and cocktails. We walked in on a Friday night and since it was Lent, we figured it would be packed. I guess because it was later in the evening, close to 9PM, there were probably 3 or 4 tables available and no seats at the bar. We waited... and waited... for... More

First off beware of the parking lot! People will plow you without hesitation. Once you survive the parking lot, you're greeted (it's a technical term) by a rude cashier/hostess. That girl is awful. Rude to the max. Then you wait and wait and wait. Why? I know why; there's nothing else in Princeton. Unless you want Dominos. After the wait,... More

Great pizza is hard to find This place makes a solid, better than average pizza. Good ingredients sausage has good kick I had fresh garlic as most places outside of NYC I feel make a bland pizza. This place I think would be good just plain cheese. Generous with the toppings. Garlic may have been a bit much. Sure is... More

I grew up going here every Friday night! After my Dad's funeral we went to Contes for the afternoon.(they actually closed for us!!!) The pizza is world famous in my opinon and by the wait, I'd guess everyone says the same. You should not go to or through Princeton with going to Contes!!!!!!!!!!!

Conte's is an institution in Princeton, beloved for its simple 1950s decor and absolutely wonderful thin-crust pizza. The bar is stocked with a good variety of beers, which is what you want with pizza. Service is good, the place is usually quite full at lunch time. There is no better place for pizza in Mercer County outside of a couple... More

You want fancy? This isn't the place for you. But, for really decent thin-crust pizza washed down with pitchers of Coke/Diet Coke, this is where our office group travels when we want to be together for lunch. Never had an issue with the food, service, a server or the overall price paid. Since our group can be upwards of 10... More
