Haven't had a meal this bad in ages.Decided to sit in the restaurants open patio area. Beautiful afternoon why not facing the ocean. WHAT A MISTAKE. The plastic table tops were filthy and old, the resin wicker seats were dirty with crumbs and various debris. There were no small plates to put your bread on, the cole slaw was sour. Give... More

My wife and I went to Jack Baker's Wharfside for dinner while in Point Pleasant. We shared an appetizer of clams casino, then I had the broiled scallops while my wife had the apricot chicken. We enjoyed are meals so much we went back the following night. I had the grilled shrimp & angel hair pasta, while she had the... More

We were there on a Wednesday evening and the place was packed. They don't take reservations but the two of us were seated inside very quickly. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms, lobster bisque, New England clam chowder and split the stuffed flounder. Everything was cooked correctly and tasted excellent. The dining room had quite a bit of din but... More

We stopped here for lunch. The lobster bisque is very tasty with large chunks of lobster. Food very good, friendly, knowledgable staff. A great place to visit.

The waitress was very rude. She didn't take our order after coming to our table to complain twice. The view is great and the place is packed on summer weekends.

Go to the Patio Bar for great river views and possibly the sunset, if you can time it right. The bartenders are friendly and efficient. The drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced for the resort setting. The fresh seafood bar fare was that, but nothing special. Nice place to hang out if you're down at the Beach. Suggest they... I brought visiting family to this restaurant.... they were looking for fresh seafood at a waterfront restaurant. All they really liked was the location on the water. Two of us had sea scallops (one broiled, one fried). I'm not convinced that they served us real scallops or just scallop shaped fish of some sort. They were tasteless and mushy. The... More

This review is for the wharfside restaurant not the Wharfside patio bar. I really don't like giving any place a negative review. Honestly can't remember if I ever did. This place deserves it. Food was small portions and over cooked. However the main reason this place deserves less than 1 star is bc a member of our party has a... More

Brought visiting family here based on a friends recommendation and it was a mistake. Food was average but a poor value compared to many other places in the area. Staff is friendly and good but the food is average at best.
