Description: Spano's Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful little store front restaurant just like you see in Brooklyn, with a quaint interior featuring oversized comfy booths and Italian music to complete the ambiance. The restaurant gets bustling after 6pm, and on weekends there can be quite a wait. The good news is they're open 7 days a week, so you can get the same amazing food on Tuesday without a wait. Speaking of the food, its authentic old world Italian prepared by Chef Joseph Spano. All ingredients are fresh, never frozen...fresh local fish and seafood, the highest quality veal, cut and pounded daily for the Veal dishes, Same with the chicken and eggplant, all prepared fresh daily. Spano's marinara sauce is the original winner of the Boss of the sauce contest sponsored by a local radio station and featuring all of the Shores Italian restaurants, as voted by a panel of judges and the general public. All of our ravioli, cheese filled, lobster, and specialty (like roasted butternut squash, or Osso Bucco) are handmade. They make the dough, they make the filling, and they stuff and cut each ravioli by hand. The portions are oversized, and the prices are very reasonable. They have an extensive menu and use only Certified Angus Beef, many of the dishes can be seen on their Facebook page at spanosristoranteitaliano and they open daily at 4pm. 7 days a week. With homemade desserts like the NY cheesecake, tiramisu, bread pudding and apizza dolce (Italian ricotta cheesecake) and delicious Cappuccino to finish off your meal, you can't go wrong at Spano's!

I was here with my wife, son, daughter-in-law and 2 grand daughters. It was a Sunday afternoon in June. I know they normally have long lines waiting. They take reservations for 7 or more but not on Saturdays. The food was excellent and a great value. Fried calamari appetizer was great and everyone loved their meal.

Food was fantastic and VERY reasonable priced. It is BYO which helps keep the costs down. Everything was great - great food, service, etc. we were with a larger party (10 ppl) and still everyone had a great meal and was so pleased. Definately go again.

Spano's is my families favorite restaurant. We celebrate all our family mild stones there. We love the fried calamari and mussels for starters. The Shrimp Molly is to die for. My husband loves the Seafood Fiesta. I love the Crab. Cakes. The service is so friendly and attentive. The portions are huge (always have left overs for the next day).... More

LOVE LOVE LOVE Spano's and never disappointed! Without a doubt one of our favorite reasons to go to Spano's is to order the Shrimp Molly as an appetizer. It is by far the best!!!! I am a lifetime resident of Point Pleasant and have been a patron of Spano's since it opened. It consistently has excellent food and service. The staff is always very attentive and the food is great. Joe Spano is also very generous to the community and can always be seen helping out and providing food for local charity events. I... More

Very good Italian food every time. Never have I been disappointed and we have been coming here for years. Always extra large portions. Great for leftovers. Service is always great.

This small but great Italian restaurant is popular for a reason. The food is great and plenty of it. The prices are reasonable and the wait staff it very good. It gets crowded, especially on weekends. Go early!

Great Italian food, Calamari was cooked right, service was good, prices good, and portions were over the top. Only problem is that it gets crowded, especially in-season, so go early. But its crowded for a reason. Great menu selection. In the area? Give it a try, and its off the beach.

Just returned from our latest trip to Spano's for dinner. As usual service is great, food is excellent. Can't think of a better place to spend time having dinner.
