After a long day of unsuccessful crabbing in the pouring rain we had a hunger for some good old fashion seafood. We searched around and decided on The Shrimp Box in Pt. Pleasant. While looking for parking we spotted Red's and something about it was calling out to us. We made the game time decision to head to Red's instead,... More

We stopped here for some dinner on Thursday evening. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and shown to our table. All the staff were very friendly and gave us some tips as to where we could go to get the best out of the shore. The specials board had a great selection and we ordered off of that. We... More

We locals have been going to reds for 15 years ,always enjoyed it. Yes the prices are high, but they just got higher. $25 a lb for steamed lobster?! For 50 bucks I could have gone to pt lobster and bought 4 lobsters. The family recently sold to shipwreck grill and the prices went up considerably. Food mediocre . New... More

We arrived around 7 and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The restaurant is divided into two sections with the outside area serving fried food and the inside upstairs area serving regular menu items and is quite small. Be advised that it is BYOB. My wife and I ordered New England clam chowder which was alright and took about five minutes.... More

We live locally and know that many of the restaurants on the waterside are rip-offs, whose seafood is likely not fresh (Wharfside, Lobster Shanty, Shrimp Box). All of the above, if not for the location and the view, would not be in business. We have had good seafood (lately - last 2-3 years), at Shore Fresh, Spikes, Point Lobster, Bonefish... More

Known for fresh seafood, especially lobster, this restaurant has been here for years. It has small area of indoor with air condition seating and a larger deck type waterfront outdoor area. The atmosphere is casual and perfect shore-like surroundings. We went for lunch, because in the summer it is VERY busy and there is a wait. I had not been... More

Very expensive for selective menu/a la carte. For what you spend they should throw in a starch for you for crying out loud! A choice of an ear of corn, potato, or a side of cole slaw should be free! A tiny solo-cup of cole slaw was $2.00. Really??!!!!! The only positive thing about our dinner there was BYOB. Not... More

Red's is a great place if you want really fresh seafood in an unpretentious place. You sit outside over the water next to commercial fishing boats. It is unusual in that you have to order your food from the counter and then pick it up, but it is wonderful to sit outside . ( They also have a small inside... More
