Great Food

This was my first visit to Red's since the new owner's have taken over. The food remains the same--great. There is a large casual outside eating area which can be used for eating dinner or as a place for appetizers and a glass of wine while waiting for a table in the inside dining room. We... read more

This was our first visit to Red's since new ownership. It was lovely siting outside overlooking the river and boats. But, that's where the positive ends. The Lobster Roll was pricey and minute in quantity of lobster. The Fried Soft Shell Crab sandwich fared only slightly better. Small crab, heavy batter, pricey. I do not think that we will return.

I have dined here twice, both inside and outside. I loved the beachy decor. Recently had an OK shrimp salad sandwich. However, the best part of the sandwich was the tomato! My father had 5 fried shrimp with french fries...cost was $20. My dad felt them to be VERY overpriced. They seem to have some original dinner and lunch creations, but... More

A group of us went for dinner. It thought it was a expensive, as Mother Nature supplies the 'ambience' on the dock. Highly recommend the spicy clam appetizer! The steamers were also excellent. Four people had the lobster special; none were disappointed. The rest had board specials: tuna with tropical salsa; fried soft shell crab; blackened mahi mahi. All were... More

There are two parts to this restaurant; the outside dining is quick lobster-roll type eating al-fresco. You order and pick up at a window and pick a table. Nice views of the water. Inside dining in the tiny dining room is full menu. The place is BYOB. We chose the inside dining room and were not disappointed. We ordered a... More

Boats coming and going, sea gulls flying around, a perfect place to take kids. BYOB, wooden tables overlooking inlet. Very basic but good.

I think many of the reviews of this place are based largely on the outside dining area, which is a completely different animal than the tiny restaurant just up the stairs from the dockside dining. Dockside is fine. The food is average but the setting is sweet, looking out on the all the boats in the small harbor. But the... More

I don't normally use The word best but I have to say that red lobster pot absolutely had the best sautéed so I shell crab sandwich I have ever had. 20 years ago was probably the first time I went to Reds it's not much to look at from the street but a tremendous view of the day fishing boats... we ate outside , you order at the counter and someone brings your food. the counter girls were very pleasant. Overall the food was good , not great. The prices were high . The atmosphere is very loud and the tables we ate on were plastic , well used and did not appear overly clean. One of the good things... More

Very nice location, right by the water, you can watch the fishing boats come and go; come late for a bite and watch the sun set over the water; food is very good, tastes very fresh, service is good, ( you place your order, pay and sit down, they bring you the food ). However, I found the prices a... More
