Great place for breakfast. The food is fresh n home made. Good place off the beaten path. Little pricey but really good quality. Never had dinner there but will give them a try if they invite us to their " tree house" even if it's to take it down.

We just visited here and were not surprised to see nothing had changed! The food is as good as ever. The service was so friendly and the atmosphere is like home.

John & Elaine's is hidden at the end of a strip mall and can be easily overlooked. If you do, you'd be missing out! Generous portions, great prices and cozy atmosphere. You can even BYOB. Be sure to try the 'John salad' with your entry!

The food was good here. I did give a lower rating just because they do not take credit. However you can use the atm for an additional $2.00.

We ate at John and Elaine's this past weekend and thought the food was great! Homefries were especially delicious, as were omelets and pancakes. Portions were not enormous for us, as some reviewers said. As it was a busy Sunday morning, we didn't hold it against our waitress that we didn't see her as often as we needed. Prices are... More

Tried the breakfast at the urging of local friends. WOW. Everything was to die for. Homefries, pancakes, eggs, bacon and the piece de resistance.....crabby patty eggs benadict. This is a one of I've only ever found here. AMAZING...everything was perfect. Our server..Shelley. was the best ever. We even talked to chef Steve about his crabby patty eggs benedict. Amazing chef... More

Had breakfast there last week, my standard 2 eggs over bacon hash browns toast and coffee. If this is good I always come back and try other things. Eggs perfect, hash browns tasty, but the coffee a little old and not asked for a refill. Not the cheapest either but will come back and try the pancakes next time

We were staying in nearby Bay Head, and looking for someplace to get a decent breakfast. Nearby places were either no longer open, or had gotten mediocre reviews. We stumbled across this diner while driving around in search of something home-towney. The food was very good and affordable, the place was very clean, and the service was excellent. We were... More
