Always Wonderful

She's an old building but worth the trip each time and not just for the holiday's. My steak was perfect, hubby had grilled veggie mix that he could not finish. That never happens. Still managed to eat the Key Lime tart..lol Love sitting at the bar talking to New friends. Excited they have set... read more

The Olde Centerton Inn was an important stage coach stop in old New Jersey, and with its rustic interiors, until recently it was a site for fine dining of the first order. Unfortunately, it has succumbed to the undesirable practices of providing second rate meals. Its signature steak appears to be glued together. The fillet mignon topped with crab meat... More

Let's start with the good...my wife and I had lobster and a steak. Each was perfectly done and very good. The waiter(Vince) was excellent. The not so good...this place is in total disrepair! In extreme need of painting, and in need of updating. It's possible to do upgrading without affecting the historical significance of the building. Nothing has been done in... More

The Steak Centerton is very good. Although the selections are a bit pricey, they are worth it. A complimentary dessert pastry tray is also provided. The Centerton Peanuts are to die for!

Can't go wrong with the Steak Centerton or the Centerton salad. I have eaten here dozens of times and always have had a good meal. I have also held more than a few events at the Centerton Inn and each was a great success. Brian one of the owner is always helpful with a wonderful wine selection ( this is... More

My wife and I wanted to enjoy our Valentine dinner; it was hard because the staff kept walking buy our table. We were in the "governors" room. Nice small room; no complaints when we got there. Wanted the fire turned on (since it was cold & alittle drafty) waiter said it doesn't work. All the other people in the room... More

Burned for the 3rd and last time. Thanksgiving was horrible....super dried turkey...overcooked...cooked too many days prior to the holiday.....buried in gravy didn't help. The "free" desserts have been cut down to 2 minuscule squares of different options......however....they're totally stale!!!!! Years ago it was a delightful bonus!!!!! New Years Eve......attendance has diminished greatly, the crab was not fresh, smelled "off"....... Feb... More

Great food and deals with all allergies and dining issues. As a vegan, I steer clear of south-central Jersey. However, I recommend this place 100%. This is a heavy meat joint, however, Instead of another boring order of pasta with veggies dripping in oil, I had a portabello mushroom stuffed with peppers, cous cous and spices. It was wonderful. The... More

I would always take my family here for special occasions and my wife and I always enjoyed having dinner here on a Saturday night. Sadly though this once great restaurant has going downhill in my opinion. First of all, paint the exterior of the restaurant! Paint chipping and peeling on the outside is not appealing to customers! Flower boxes are... More

Where to begin? We arrived early for a Thanksgiving meal and met with my girlfriends parents who were sitting at the bar. We asked the bartender if he had any special drinks that they made and his reply was "no, We are not a chain restaurant". BAD ANSWER! I was not part of that exchange or I would have told... More
