Customer Service Not a Priority

It is rare that I write a review, but I thought the customer service was unusually poor on a Saturday night. In addition to the poor service, the sound level in the restaurant was uncomfortably loud. The first indication of unfriendly service was during the ordering when the waitress could not... read more

It is rare that I write a review, but I thought the customer service was unusually poor on a Saturday night. In addition to the poor service, the sound level in the restaurant was uncomfortably loud. The first indication of unfriendly service was during the ordering when the waitress could not provide information about the characteristics of the mussels on... More

This is a very good restaurant with a nice ambiance. There's a silent movie screen and silent movie playing in the place. It's white tablecloth, seating a tad bit close together but by far not the worst. Lula is charming and her husband is the chef. The bread is baked in house and is wonderful. I was there on a... Found this cute local place across the street from the Broadway Theatre; I had show tickets for a matinee. The place was fairly busy due to the show. Upon arrival, there was no one to greet us or seat us. I did notice only one waitress and a "cook" in the restaurant. Uumm, poor planning on the owners part. When... More

The food is good when you can get them to bring anything to your table. Used to be a regular place until I was insulted by Lula herself because I didn't get served after waiting 1.5 hours. The menu is boring doesn't change much but they do have some very tasty things, again not worth waiting hours to eat.

We were meeting up with friends for a night out and were trying to find another place to eat than our typical places. The other couples had already been here so we decided to try it! I know there are some bad reviews but I loved it - yes it is loud but you have to know that going into... More

We were attending a show across the street at the Pittman and stopped in to Sweet Lula's for a pre-show diner. Lula's is a very nice BYOB with a diverse menu. We started with Avocado fritters which were tasty but a bit bland. Our main courses were a big improvement. Duck Breast with cherries and a Port reduction, very good.... More

It's tough to tell which was worse the food or the service! Service--we arrived around 630 PM because we had tickets to the Broadway Theatre across the street for a show that started at 800 PM. This should be plenty of time for dinner. It took over forty-five minutes for our appetizers and an hour for our entrees and then... More

We got together with another couple to go to the Pittman Theater. It was the first time both couples went to Lula's. The food was good but the restaurant was the loudest restaurant we had ever been to. It was virtually impossible to have any kind of conversation. The owner is lovely and she entertains the crowd by singing which... More

Have been here for lunch on 3 occasions and dinner on 2 occasions, and have always enjoyed my meal. On weekend evenings, the owner, Lula, sings a set, and she has a great voice. Upscale dining room decor, tablecloths, soft lighting, front windows overlook the main street in Pitman, so can always people watch. Chef is Lula's husband, and her... More

The food here is always delicious. We go once or twice and year and are always pleased. We have loved the brussel sprouts, steamed mussels and roasted romaine salad. Dishes are creative - not just your traditional presentation. You can watch the chef right from the dining room as the "kitchen" is pretty much incorporated into the space. We have... More
