Valentino's had a kitchen fire several months back and is closed. Not sure if it will ever re-open. It was average.

Foremost was the excellent service we received by the our waiter Eddie and other servers. Upon entering this charming restaurant, which is set in off the road, we noticed how empty it was. There was a large table of people near us but the other tables were empty on this weekday evening. The prices were on the high side but... More

Fabulous food in a quaint old Victorian House, nice bar in the back of the main dining room.Off the beaten path but close to corporations and hotels for out of towners

All of the negative reviews are accurate anywhere you read them - either here or on Yelp. I've been here a number of times - mainly because the restaurant is listed on restaurant.com so you can get a gift certificate for very little money. The restaurant is never that great, but I thought I would use the last certificate I... More

The food was just ok - nothing exciting or different. Prices too high for mediocre food. Beautiful building, they just need to reinvent their food/concept. Restaurant was almost empty during our visit. They are lacking a passion for food and for their establishment, and it shows.

Valentino's is always a favorite in the upscale restaurants in this area. You become familiar with the wait staff, and they become familiar with you. I always feel elegant when I dine in Valentino's -- maybe it's the dark wood and fireplace interior. Excellent italian food!

Valentino's has been a landmark in Park Ridge for over 30 years. It's had its ups and downs according to some, but I've never been disappointed. The food has always been above average, its always a surprise that ypu can even get in the place

Look, this place isn't a Morton's, but it is a classic, local Italian spot that delivers consistent food. The food truly tastes authentic, not like Olive Garden. The waiter is an older gent, but he is delightful and funny. In a time where chains are everywhere, it's refreshing to have a local spot to support.

This place is dated and watiers are poor. Food is average and prices high. We ordered some white wine that came out warm. I wanted gnocchi but they were out of it. I ordered a "zuppa" di vongole and instead they brought me out the "soup" instead. 15 minutes later came the clams which were rubberized. My veal sorrentino was... More

Good food, but a dated environment and slow, old school service. If you want delicious Italian in a white-tablecloth restaurant, you will enjoy this. It isn't cool or hip or modern, but it doesn't have to be to get the job done.
