Good food, other aspects need work

My family had dinner here - we found the food to be surprisingly good, given the unassuming exterior. They actually have 5 or 6 tables inside, so you can sit and eat (although I think takeout is a much bigger business for them). My beef enchiladas were very good, and my wife's fish tacos... read more

We eat here often for lunch. They have about six tables inside were they have waitress service or you can get take out or they deliver to the beach. The food is always good. The servers are always pleasant. There is no a/c but always a nice breeze. It is cash only. There is an ATM inside. They offer a... More

I visited this place with some friends, one of whom is mexican. It might be telling you something that he was the only Mexican person eating there. I had a fish taco which was decent but not very flavorful. My friends had burritos which they really did not like. One toddler had a quesadilla which was hard and dry. The salsa... More

Rojo's (Now Red's Jersey Mex) in Ocean City is one of the best spots along the South Jersey Shore!. Our fav for takeouts. The chorizo breakfast burrito may be the best breakfast meal ever. Ever! Outstanding. "Reds" is a great guy, friendly and runs a nice, small neighborhood joint. The kind of place you see all the time & hope... More

It doesn't look like much from outside but who cares what it looks like if the food is good. We went there for the large gluten free menu and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had the mahi mahi tacos as recommended by our server and they were great. large pieces of fish. The rest of... More

The chicken tacos were pretty good and so was the cheese quesadilla. The salsa that comes with the food tasted really strange. My husband had the nachos and said it was mostly refried beans from a can.

The food here is hardly authentic, but it doesn't claim to be. It's Jersey-Mex: think Mexican staples with a comfort food twist. The restaurant itself reflects this; tiny, unpretentious with beach house flair. And for what they do, they do it well. Food is consistently tasty, fresh and fast. The Fish Burrito is my go-to choice. Though I find that... More

Much lighter fare than my hubby and I's numero uno choice Cinco De Mayo on West Ave. A single burrito from Red's cannot be shared and will not fill up a hungry couple, for example, which is what we like to do since we're on a budget. This is our second go at Red's and we both ordered the fish... More

This is by far one of the best Mexican places around and THE BEST in OCNJ. We go here every Summer when we are there. I think I just read that they are actually open all year round so I will keep that in mind. Great tacos, rice and really amazing fish tacos. They also have some burgers and wraps... More

Visited with family during a recent trip. Interior was deceiving and on the small side. Decided on takeout. Food was excellent, ingredients seemed fresh and meals were tasty. My fire roasted Chicken Enchiladas had just the right amount of spice. Family was equally appreciative of food quality. Little skimpy on the tortilla chips and salsa. Give it a go.
