Jerk Chicken: Excellently Made

I go here at least once a year and always get the Jerk Chicken. The chicken is expertly spiced and cooked, the rice is great, but the sweet plantains (Plátanos Maduros or amarillos to us Puerto Rican) make the dish all worth while. Can't say I've tried anything else but the Jerk Chicken comes... read more

We loved the food at Mosaic so much we returned two nights later. The Jamaican chef was outstanding, and the staff was warm and friendly. I enjoyed the grilled coconut shrimp so much that I ordered it again. It came with two different sauces. Two of our party ordered curried dishes and declared them among the best curries they had... If you like spicy, then this is the place for you! Fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. The jerk chicken is tasty and flavorful. paired with jasmine rice with peas it was the perfect pair. The salmon with maple glaze also was fresh and flavorful. Caesar salad was close to the best we've ever had! Dressing was perfect with just... More

I only reserve 5 stars for "exceptional" places, but this is VERY good! Small, quaint, nice servers, tasty jerk chicken, great curry, calamari, even a kids menu! Small place so make a reservation!

We visited 701 Mosaic for the first time on Friday night. The restaurant has limited seating, so make sure that you make a reservation. Our meals were excellent - our appetizer (tzatziki / hummus / babaganoush) was very good, my jerk chicken had a nice kick was great, my wife enjoyed her linguini, and the homemade key lime pie was... We were out for a walk a noticed this restaurant on the corner and took a menu for review. We then returned for dinner. The jerk chicken was delicious - with just the right amount of spice for my husband. They were out of the regular sized crabcakes (disappointing) so I ordered the appetizer size along with a full size... More

A small, clean and charming restaurant with Caribbean, Mediterranean and American food. The host and waiter were friendly and attentive. The food was great. We had the Mosaic appetizer for two - mini Jamaican patties, calamari, chips and jerk wings, and all were flavorful and well prepared. For the entrees two of us had jerk pork and two had jerk... First, they were out of a lot of items. We ordered the crab cake appetizer and they were clearly frozen cause ours still had ice crystals in them when we at them. Gross! For entree, we ordered coconut shrimp which looked and tasted like supplied from a restaurant supply (pre made). Overall, food was not good & we will not... More

Went for dinner with a 7 pm reservation. We were seated right away but it took a while for a server to greet us. We got water and the hibiscus drink sampler and it was another few minutes till our order was taken. They were out of several things. I thought it was odd that they were out of chicken... More

Visited this past w/e and was delighted to find a restaurant IN oc that was excellent. Not to say other places are bad, but Mosaic is really that good and stands well above. Caribbean and Mediterranean style fare with some other top mainstream options as well. A couple steak options were also available and looked outstanding. Nice staff and owner... More
