Nice!

Went today for a late lunch. My husband and son ordered kebabs that they loved. The chicken was very moist and they gave two different types of nicely flavored rice. Just beware of eating the hot pepper on the plate! I ordered the falafel sandwich on Peda bread which is thick Turkish bread. There... read more

This new entry to the Route One scene is a remarkable value despite an obscure setting. The authentic Turkish menu is Halal from an adjacent market. Pastries are made on site and are truly delicious. Prices are extremely moderate. Most entrees are under $ 15. Décor is indeed reminiscent of the Middle East. Service is swift and unobtrusive. Like most... More

The service and food quality is great. As always, a great place and feel like family. Portions are generous, bread and hummus are freshly done. Good times, see you soon.

I've had lots of excellent meals inRestaurants. This is also an excellent meal. Very nice place, very nice servers, very good food. Portions generous. We were in Istanbul last summer and this was very similar to those we had there, better than some . (Any city has a range of good bad and great restaurants). Definitely a visit to be... More

I think this restaurant suffers from inconsistency! We ate at an off hour on a Sunday. The Mucver (Zucchini pancake) was a warmed over leftover, the baked lamb was a reheated mess of bits, both rice accompaniments were tasteless. It was truly disappointing since we had eaten there before and had a decent meal. I always try to give a... More

We just had a wonderful dinner at Istanbul! We have two young children who happily had good chicken fingers, and this allowed the adults to enjoy the delicious food. The hummus was wonderful, and the bread warm and fresh! Then we shared a mixed appetizer with cheese in light pastry (pardon that I don't remember the proper names), perfect stuffed... More

Visited this restaurant a few times and had no issues with the service or FOOD. Their menu is simple with popular dishes. I normally don't do appetizers but I recommend you try the sample platters. This is a great place to visit and enjoy a meal. They also have a LUNCH menu which is a great value about $9.00 per... More

We have been to Istanbul several times now with a fairly large family group. The food and service have always been excellent. Even those guests who have never before had any sort of middle eastern food thoroughly enjoyed all the appetizers, entrees and deserts. I look forward to a repeat performance whenever we're in the area.

The kebab's are uniformly excellent. Strongly recommend the Icli Kofte and for veggies Imam Bayildi for starters. Kuzu Tandir as an entrée is out of this world. You will have to wait longer than your friends to get the dish, but the wait is well worth it. Slow cooked lamb off the bone that is spiced and softened to perfection.... More
