A FUN PLACE TO DINE

Great food, service, ambiance! I order the same thing every time I come because I LOVE what i get. I get the Istanbul Combination as the main meal because there are different Turkish food to taste on one plate. Portion is generous. Got baba gunnush (not sure of spelling) as an appetizer to share... read more

Has become a go-to restaurant for us. The food and service have been consistently good, regardless of how crowded it is. Recommend the kebabs, and the desserts are great. Try the kazandibi.

We went there with great expectations and ordered just 2 items to takeout as we were in hurry. They said 10-15 mins of wait, which was ok. But, it took 45 mins!! At one moment, I thought to cancel the order while waiting, but then I really wanted to taste their food. BTW, the food is average, we didn’t find... More

Shuttling between relatives on a recent trip to NJ, we had a rare few hours to call our own and decided to escape the humdrum diners and pizza joints we'd been living on. Istanbul caught our eye in the most unassuming little strip mall you could possibly imagine, but it promised a welcome change so we stopped in. We were... More

One of the best Turkish restaurants in NJ. Food is fresh and well prepared, service is excellent. It's a BYOB which is great addition to reasonable prices that they have. Turkish coffee is made before your eyes and used to be served with Lukum but unfortunately that Turkish delight is no longer available. Casual atmosphere, never crowds. Seeing Turkish people... I wanted to go back here ever since I went there about two years ago with my co-workers but never made it out because it's a bit of drive from where I stay while I travel around here for business. The food today was as good as the last time. The best thing about this place is the freshness of... More

We ate there in 2014. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Prices are kind of high, though. Easy to get to.

I read such great reviews on trip advisor but tell you the truth I was disappointed.the place is small and nice and casually done so don't expect a fancy place.the menu is very extensive and prices are not expensive at all.good thing is the portions are huge.the staff is very sweet and friendly.the chicken sheesh kebab n chicken tikka and... Went today for a late lunch. My husband and son ordered kebabs that they loved. The chicken was very moist and they gave two different types of nicely flavored rice. Just beware of eating the hot pepper on the plate! I ordered the falafel sandwich on Peda bread which is thick Turkish bread. There was no hummus on it, so... More

This new entry to the Route One scene is a remarkable value despite an obscure setting. The authentic Turkish menu is Halal from an adjacent market. Pastries are made on site and are truly delicious. Prices are extremely moderate. Most entrees are under $ 15. Décor is indeed reminiscent of the Middle East. Service is swift and unobtrusive. Like most... More
